accord type r vs dc5.....alloys!!!

Hi all!

After putting some new bits on my car I am trying to decide whether I want new wheels too.

I am thinking about accord type r alloys or dc5 alloys!!

First question, will these both fit on my car ok?

Second, what do you lot think about it?

Pics attached of both of the wheels in question.

All comments welcome, good & bad lol!

personally i think these both will be to big as there both 17" rite . stick to the 15" wheel mate . how bout the volk ce28 i have got a set on my 9 heres a pic of them

Ignoring the effect that a larger wheel may have on the handling, which I'm sure just about everyone is going to mention, I think that the Accord's wheels are more individual and aggressive that the DC5 ones and would certainly add a je ne sais quoi to the appearance of your car.
However I'm guessing here but I'm sure someone can correct me, the DC5 wheels are probably lighter, so if you want to go up to 17" then they probably offer a better compromise in terms of performance. If it were my ride though I wouldn't have DC5 wheels without the DC5s brakes behind them.

Personally like B16 Mini though I think that bronze TE37s should be the stock wheel for the EK9, just looks right!
 
Between those two, I think the accord wheel looks better, but which one is lighter? That is very important.
If you like the look of 17"s you should try downsizing to some 16" wheels for the sake of lighter unsprung weight, which affects every performance aspect of the car.

Here here. Wheels are way to big. Going to affect both performance and handling greatly. Try and stick with a 15". I am in love with the CE28 or TE37. The best wheels. But on the other hand i'm all for individuality. Size aside, I would go for the accord just because they are different. Also, not a fan of things DC5.
 
I would rather go for gunmetal EP3 wheels.

Accord Type-R and DC5R wheels are hideous in my eyes.....

17s look pretty good to me. Albeit they are Volks. What's wrong with 17s? I know more than a few guys in Japan running 17s on DC2s and EK9s on track and it handles well due to the larger circumference. Sure you give up a little on acceleration, but the tire can handle more heat for more fun on the track.

yeh but those cars have way more torque especially the K20A SPOON EK9. Otherwise 16 max for me... :)
 
neither due to size...either standard ek9 wheels or te37s ;) only options in my mind,
