Hi all, I thought id share a video of a track day we were at in 2011.

My Friend tedman in the red civic, another friend Billy in the Seat and Myself in the Blue civic. Tedmans Friend Rory compiled the video from different shots through out the day and I think its a really well put together video that shows the days craics!

Tedman is currently in Auz but is coming back in June and taking the civic out of storage for another trackday. I have the pressure on to get my EK9 built and ready for it.

Great vid, the white EK9 in the vid was mine. Will be good to see you lads up again this year..we are out again this Sunday at Kirkistown and hope to get down as much as possible this year

Jealous man, If I wasn't stuck in England at uni i'd be there too, Bringing the EK and dads bringing the DC2 along on the 14th of April, with the GoPro too, would like to get a run against a few more Honda's this time for some real fun :nice:
 
Il be heading to the April one myself. Looking forward to it.

Sounds like a plan, I will need to get April booked off work so we can get a few Hondas on the track :naughty:

The way I find it is that a well setup civic/integra kicks the arse of most hot hatches but when you get serious race cars or very high powered cars you just dont have the legs to keep up. So unless there are a few well sorted Hondas out you find yourself with nothing to have a bit of fun with

Im just looking forward to getting the car out again, havent had the car down since last year

I found that exactly, Clio sports, VR6 golfs even that 2.0 redtop astra rallycar and a glanza or two weren't too much of a problem for the litte n/a 1.6 :p, however those little kit cars were quick, elise went well too. I had a good session with a guy in an MB6 with coilovers and some rs2's like me was fun! Looking forward to this!
 
I reckon an EK9.org kirki day is possible , anyone have a private days rental cost.?
 
There is enough space if you get your name down for the local members to get out on trackskills days, plus you get marshals and ambulance etc

Looks like its a washout for tomorrow, the track is currently flooded in parts and the wind gusts are still 40mph+ for tomorrow.. Weather ruins everything in this country lol


Looks like the next day will be April 14th so hopefully we get a better day for it then

Totally agree more vtecs at trackskills the better

might try and get up there for april, if not when is the next date at kirkistown?
 
April should be busy, next date is may 19th but I'm at a stag do in Magaluf on the 19th so I can't make it then
 
such a busy period for me at the minute. I got two weddings to attend, Girlfriends brothers wedding, and my sisters wedding in a few weeks time. Also have car and house insurance due at the end of April.. Ill have to eat beans and toast to get the car ready for the June trackday. And even at that I think ill have to run my EK9 with the EK4 engine.... :nerv: But ill do what ever it takes to get my day out in June. :dance:

Sounds like a plan, we are doing the same lap times with a b16a as I was doing back then in my EK9 B16b so you will be grand :)
