206 whp n/a D16!

Mattie--M!chael, I have built one up myself, a fully built D16Y8. Im not hating this, just pointing out the expensive path to 200whp with a cheap engine to start with.

I do not recognize the word "hate". lol But if you think I hate, all the power to you.

Just didnt understand your reason behind leaving a "Fail"

:nice:

I'm absolutely loving that. Smooth power curve and what a noise. This just makes me want to keep my d16 even more.

aha a crx engine??

im off to Wiki, bye!

I'm not sure exactly what engine that was but I would imagine that it is the US equivalent of my D16A9, think its called the D16ZC. As far as I'm aware these are the only twincam D series engines. Starts out as 130 Bhp so 206 Whp is seriously impressive but I would imagine it would be a bit difficult to drive on the road.

Is the a6 the one with the slightly higher compression ratio that went into the cars with catalytic converters? I just assumed it was from the states because its mental.

Now that's a cool motor build. Always nice to see someone doing something that bit outside the box once and a while. The noise!

its easy to say its a waste but from and engineer stand point and a tuner i say big props to them they can say they did it when no one else wanted to much respect to the whole team and a lady drive

Can wrong that! :nice:

People saying its a waste on a d series , come on take a step back , we are all driving Hondas , whatever way you go about it HP is expensive , just admire the work ..!

After all most Honda owners spend thousands just to see marginal increases .... a bit hypocritical if you ask me

That is an absolute monster. Obviously some major work and effort put into that engine, an actual car enthusiast should respect all cars and engines for what they are..

Totally agree with what Darragh said above.

X 500 Haters :blabla:

Why would some bother with a D13 when they can have a D16 why bother with a D16 when you can have a B16 , or a B18.Why Bother with that if you can have a K20 ....?Ow wait why should we take the K20 when we can have the C32 that has 320Hp stock ... It's an endless ongoing pile of BS talking.

This is just as amazing as a B16 hitting 220whp ,but there will always be guys out there that Can't see beyond that stupid engine code or that magic barrier of 200 hp...

Looks like and sounds like its got nice smooth power :nice:. Defo alot of time effort and money gone into that! Very impressive to reach those figures from a D16

This is my friends car and Im the person who made this vid. The owner spent around $3k for this whole setup. A lot of the parts where fabbed up at their shop. like the itb's and header .It also running 450cc dsm injectors on crome.

For the price they spent and torque they're making, I would say it is a $3k well spent. Btw they ran a 12.0@113mph with about 20whp less.

Yeah your right $3k very well spent. Impressive quarter mile too.
Well done :)
