i can understand it as a technical exercise but its just not the best way of getting 206whp from a civic. Engine will be forged to **** and will still be on the limits and also no doubt it will have been tuned on race fuel as well.

True,total waste of money for the result but you have to admire the capabilitie of the block if nothing else,runs on pure methanol :nerv:

yeah, d16, but why? Just to say you could, is all I can come up with. Insane cost involved to get 200whp with a d16...fraction of that cost on a b16/18 will net better.

Use the same budget on a B and there is no comparison.

You stated that you are nearly at the same whp figure,i asked if it was with a d16?


Cause i dont think you have a d16 at nearly 200whp,in that case.....go hate somehwere else!

its cool an all as its 206whp..... it made quite alot of tourque aswell really for what it is..
Must have been alot of work on that engine...
Is it a fully built drag car... looks like they have made the complete chassis ??
anyone know what the little hand held buttons were he was pressing ( red and green ) .... At a guess does this start the graph plotting on his screen.... ??
anyway thanks for sharing mike can't say i would have searched for it on the tube but glad i've seeen it :p

Mattie--M!chael, I have built one up myself, a fully built D16Y8. Im not hating this, just pointing out the expensive path to 200whp with a cheap engine to start with.

I do not recognize the word "hate". lol But if you think I hate, all the power to you.
