dear frenz,

i have a b18c type r virgin...so decided to make a project car mainly for power...what setup or what parts do i need to make my engine go 2++ whp?camshaft?what brand?piston?how big?i hope you guys could give me the ultimate recipe for my ride.what secret?guys info sharing is caring...

Before we all try make you a "recipe" mate, give us a budget to work with. As 200WHP IS NOT cheap!

Your gonna need at least a 12.5:1 CR piston possibly with a .5 overbore. CP or JE are really good.
Your gonna want new rod's too. You can get piston and rod combo's for good prices on Ebay.com
New bearing's etc, rod bolts, head studs. All can be found easily.
Your gonna want at least a skunk2 pro series stage 2 cam AND valvetrain..probably bigger to be honest. Go for stage 3!
Big inlet manifold I.E edlebrock, skunk2 etc
68-70mm throttle body port matched to your inlet mani
A nice big tri-y header
At least a 2.5" exhaust
Probably bigger injectors
Your gonna need a lot of head work too.
Then tuning

List goes on mate.

Basically..set aside £2000 + just for parts!

But that will get you started with that you need to look for.

But loads of people will reply to this..you wait :)

All the above is basically my dream build :)

200whp also depends on where you live and what dyno as well.

Not all 200whps are the same. And this isn't a debate about dynapack or similar hub dynos vs. roller dynos either.

civicspoon where are you from?

Ah yes..very good point made. If your from the US then you'll be getting 200WHP no problem lol

A lot of money and time cause it doesn't happen over night and you'll need to know what your putting into your engine

a generic list:

stroke to 89mm
bore to 84mm
12++ C.R. Pistons
ported head
victorX intake manifold
70mm throttle body
matching intake for throttle body
upgraded valvetrain
much much upgraded camshafts
330cc injectors
headers and free flowing exhaust
tuned ECU

LOL, you are not kidding there. One thing for certain is that if you hop on many dyno jets over here with some I/H/E and a tune and you are in the 200whp range with a B18C1.

That is not the case on the heart breaker Dyno Dynamics that is finding a new home in the US.:))

Honestly I don't know what the infatuation with 200whp comes from. Yes, it's a nice round number and good goal to shoot for.

civicspoon, I would baseline dyno on your home dyno first and then decide if 200whp is still feasible to shoot for.

Mindlessly going after a benchmark without establishing your own foundation is pointless.

my tuner says use wiseco 85mm. use skunk2 stage 2. hytech header, 70mm tb, emanage can get 210whp...
