16" wheels

I was thinking of getting a set of 16" wheels for my ek9. Will they affect the handling and preformance in a bad way ? I heard people say to stick to the 15" wheels.

Hi Rich I fitted a set of 7 x 16 et 45 with Parada Spec 2 205/45/16 and i think they have improved the car no end e.g handling and ride quality. I doubt i would go back to 15's now. I tried 15's with several different tyres.

if you dunk your ek, go with 205/40/16

I had 205/45 & they rub when I do a sharp turn!
 
What 16" wheels you after? would be looking for a set of super advan SA3'r would you ;) because i have a set ;)

When the car is SUPER low (i mean right down) it rubs when cornering, but just now it is not rubbing at all and the car still sits nice and low (Just not on the bottom), thik this is mainly down to the offset as im running 205/45/16 on the wheels
 
I like 16's i wish i had some but there is not too many tires options for me :(

I was after a set of rota slip streams mate, thanks anway:)
 
i have just bought a set of those :O literally pciked them up last night.

would possibly sell for the right money! they are still in the box!

Rich777, they are actually brand Spanking new but i think im just gonna run them for a while until i can find a nice set of 98 spec wheels for the summer. if i cahange my mind il give you a shout.

Oh and to remain on topic...get 16s, handling did not suffer in the slightest and they look better...:)
 
my 16s are better than my 15s
stick to the road alot better. but i did get good tyres with my alloys
 
iv had 205/40/17 on car since i bought it and they have never rubbed, they sit just nice in arches to.

nah 17's are too big i think, even with a 40 tyre they just look...big,lol, 16's with a 40 tyre should do the job nicely
 
17" can look good but it has to be the right wheel, something like advan rg or buddyclub p1.
