Nice car, the best 172 in my opinion. I had the phase 1 in iceberg silver. I miss that car even though it had a fair few problems (gearboxes and interior bits and bobs). All round good car despite those!

I've been to watch a couple of times but never tried it. Does look a lot of fun (basically ragging around a car park with cones ;) ) and you get timed etc.

My friend Russ does this in his CRX: FDMC - Farnborough District Motor Club, Hampshire, England He really enjoys it and its local to you. They have events in Farnborough and in Bordon. It's cheapy cheap, £30 or so I think he said it was.

I've got a Full race T4 fitment manifold with tial 44mm w/g and screamer (with flange) sat around my house still haven't sold it if you're interested.

Sounds beefy! Doesn't really matter what shell it's in, it's a beast :) ~500 hp honda's aren't pointless they're fun ;)

I think most people go with standard type R cams in turbo builds?

It's nice owning a rare car like the ek9: the chavs like it (thumbs up, noiyce car moosh etc) and the people who know about cars or have even better cars like it / respect it. Especially when you toast an RS4 from 60+ in 5th gear ;)

Check to see how much he had the head skimmed by or if it was just done after a h-gasket or something. Perhaps a thicker head gasket needed? I had problems with the multi-layered ones... I noticed there's lot of little extra things that might be needed with a turbo conversion whilst getting mine...

Good luck with resolving it. It's always alarming when that heater dial goes up! Let us know what it was once it's sorted dude :)

How much water did you have to fill your rad up by after it cooled down? Might have a small leak somewhere, I had a slit in my top hose that leaked a lot of water and the temp went up. Might be worth getting a pressure test done? My mechanic attaches this pump thingy to the rad and pumps it...
