Greenlight Insurance EK9 UK Insurance Deal (track cover, agreed value & Mods)

Knowledgeable and friendly staff, beat my renewal quote by £300 and all took less time than one of the other suggested insurers on here had me on hold for, can't ask for better service than that. Highly recommended!

EK9 Facelift front bumper, ideally black

Just moved to new house and in the first week some nice neighbour has reversed into the front of my car. Looking for a facelift bumper in decent condition, ideally black. I'm based near Chelmsford, Essex, so the closer the better, let me know what you've got guys. Thanks !

    'Tuner' nuts help

I'm happy to spend whatever a good set costs really rvm. By the time they've had a refurb and a set of AD08s they will be fairly pricey wheels. I'd rather buy a decent set once than go through several sets of crappy ones. I'll have a look at the volks, thanks.

    'Tuner' nuts help

I've got a set of Sparco rims that have very slim lug holes so I need to get some 'tuner' nuts for it, does any one have any recommendations for some decent/strong ones not just designed for bling? Thanks

If you had £10k to spend, what car would you get?

"I need something with power, reliability and good mpg." tl/dr BMW 120d Both are relative terms, but with less than 200 bhp and 30ish mpg, I'm not sure how type-r's fit your requirements. I love my 9 to bits, but it wouldn't have been something I looked at if power and mpg were my priorities...

    172 clio or 182 !

Should corner better than standard EK4 if the suspension is set up right, not just bolted on and slammed. With those mods it's going to be worse fuel economy than a EK4; unless you drive like a granny in the clio or were in Vtec 100% of the time in the civic. Insurance wise, always hard to...

Mugen front bumper on facelift 9.

Yeh, far as I know Mugen never made a facelift version of it. Hadn't thought about the crash bar, thanks for that elchunk.

Mugen front bumper on facelift 9.

Can someone confirm; if i wanted to fit the Mugen font end to a facelift ek9, I would need to replace the wings, headlights and bonnet to get it to fit correctly? And I don't mean to be rude, but if people are going to post and say "don't do it, it's not OEM++" don't waste your time, you're...

Thanks for the quick replies, this community is the best! I'll be saving some more pennies then! Cheers guys Chris

Is it worth mapping this spec?

Finally getting some basic mods for the 9, want to know if people would suggest mapping even with 'stage 1' mods. Planned spec. Stock B16b internals (far as i know) Spoon elbow/standard box/cold air feed Tanabe 4-1 mani (heat-wrapped) Tegiwa high-flow cat Mugen Twin-loop b-pipe / back...

    Tanabe 4-1

I'm starting to get some bit together for my 9, giving it the love it deserves. Dunx has got a Tanabe 4-1 for a decent price which I'm sorely tempted by, so just curious if anyone has any experience of Tanabe products as they seem to be pretty rare on UK cars and I'm struggling to find any...

Wheel Noob please help. Tire help / issues with 16" x 7 ET45 fitment.

Looking for some advice / checking no issues before buying some new wheels. Going on 98 EK9, not lowered, no big brakes to worry about clearance (unfortunately!). They are 16 x 7 ET45 fitment, looking to get some AD08s with them Looks like i can't get 16" AD08 in 195, so i'm guessing...

    Bedford Autodrome

I am also looking at my first trackday at the start of the summer. Brands in my closest, but Bedford looks a more interesting track, so was planning to come there inestead. As everything depends on cash though as car need a few niggles sorted out and isn't as track ready as yours yet! For...

    to supercharge or stoke 1.8 a b16b?

Seems no one has answered one bit of your question so I will do my best. When I first joined up here I also looked at the possibility of turning the B16b into a 2l. I know someone on here is running a 1.9, with a stroker kit and oversized pistons iirc. It is theoretically possible to...
