Come on tegiwa!

I was planning on ordering one of these from Tegiwa shortly. Interested to see how Tegiwa get on with their fitting.

I have heard others who have bought this part and been impressed.

What are the alternatives? Cusco?

Looking at the picture in the link, its fitted with the bracket that the loom fits on as like a spacer. This would make it sit a lot more central.
I'll have ago again tomorrow to see if I can get a better fit out of it. As said I've heard the stoppers are a good mod so want this to work really.
I'm assuming that the end of the screw won't damage the cylinder at all?

The screw at the end only needs to touch the cylinder, no pressure/torque needed, its a "stop" for any flex that may happen when stomping on the pedal.

Elongate the holes with a file, couple spacers to push it more central, job done.
Also i find it funny your bashing there engineering skills when you couldnt even tell if you had a M6 bolt in your hand?
A quick ten mins and that would fit.

I'm not selling a part that doesn't fit.
Your right it shouldn't be too difficult to get it working properly. But should come like that really shouldn't it.

Do you recommend this is done while wearing spurs and a 10 gallon hat or are they optional?

Agreed, but why didnt you just get in contact with tegiwa directly before posting up on a forum?
Maybe if youd said they might put an EK9 stopper into production?

They always seem up for fixing any mistakes they have made.

Very funny, in what way would elongating the holes and some alloy spacers be classed as cowboy? It would still work the same.

Sorry but id rather figure out how to get it to fit rather than cry about it over a forum. Like what alot of people do.
Or even better, phone whoever you bought it from? And explain the situation.

True that now he has it, it would be best to get it to fit rather than have to go and buy another one, but also I wish more people would complain when things aren't as they should be. People get away with a lot cause nobody likes to make a fuss. This part is clearly not fit for purpose so to be fair he has a right to moan and let everyone else know

^this. If more people made a fuss about things like this publicly then the problem would be fixed. Maybe they'll look into their design now? Just needs the holes put lower and the side abit. Then make it so the red stopper can be used.

Elongated the holes and change the angle abit, still not central but a lot better now.

Ordered a rrs intake with skunk2 throttle body and an adaptor and skunk2 headers for kswap, they should have arrived last tuesday or wednesday to me or thursday at the latest which is what I was told by tegiwa as I did order and pay over a week before hand, still have not received any of my items and now I'm being told monday or tuesday I should get some of my items and the headers could take longer, as my car has been in the garage for over 2 weeks now and I did promise the mechanic thursday at the latest my items should arrive now I am having to pay storage fees from my own pocket due to tegiwa delay, spending near £1200 and still looking to buy more parts of them I expect a lot better service than this,

We were waiting on the Skunk2 shipment to arrive, but our freight company messed up big time, somehow the pallet ended up in Jeddah!!! Crazy I know but should be with us Monday/Tuesday. The RRC could have been delivered even sooner but we presumed the header was going to arrive at the end of last week.

All I can say is sorry, but for a pallet to end up in Jeddah is totally out of our control - our aim is for customers to have their parts within 24/48 hours from ordering.

IMHO elongating holes because they have not been drilled in the right place is bodging, its totally unnecessary and just looks lazy. Likewise a bracket like this is supposed to fit flush against to the metal work of the shell, otherwise it looks shonky, collects crap behind it and should be very simple to get right. If you saw that on a car packed out to fit, you would just look at it and think 'why didn't he buy a proper one instead of bodging that piece of **** on there like that?'

On one hand I agree, if I had made that bracket I would then bodge it with oversized holes and packing to align it to check it worked... but then build a second version with the correct dimentions. This looks like a first fit or beta test, not a saleable product.

Well, fit mine 3 years ago absolutely no problem. My mate as well. I can`t take pictures as i`ve sold the car recently, but installation was hustle free. Maybe because it was a LHD?

I had one of these on a 9 i brought, and it fitted exactly the same, but nothing less from tegiwa really, this is why they got such a bad name. Surly guys enough is enough. When are you going to produce some decent parts.
Really getting beyond a joke now.

We said we'll sort it, these have fitted in the past, and still possibly do fit normal EK's. We'll find out ASAP though when we get some fitted, hopefully we can find a local '9'

Is there a link to fit these so i can try my one?

This telling Tegiwa to bore off and make better stuff is boring now, they're at least making an effort to produce parts for our cars. I've used them before and they missed 1 thing out of a large order, nothing an e-mail never sorted.

Posting about your issues on the forum will always get the same feedback, the immature digs at the company, constructive criticism and the people that understand errors from a business point of view. Its just the same as Skunk2 after that bug scandal about the dodgy made in China parts but people still buy knowingly about these scandals. But realistacally every company makes errors but i think Tegiwa as enthusiast put in more than enough effort and don't deserve all this crap.

In this threads case nothing an e-mail or a phone number couldn't have fixed all you aimed for here was too publically embarrass Tegiwa yet again like many others

^Spot on.

Tegiwa do a decent job and provide a service which others don't.

vti2010 being positive as always

Like I said at the start. I'm not into the tegiwa bashing thing. An email to them wouldn't have done anything. Now that this thread has blown up they are looking into it. So by "crying" about it I may have socked this issue for future buyers. THAT was the reason I started this thread.
But when your selling a part like this(however cheap) it should fit and work.
I've bodged mine on and as far as I can tell it works okay.
