EK2 B18C5 Turbo

Topher-EK4: thanks for that comment! it's nice getting opinions of previous owners :)

Just a little update:

went on the dyno 3 days ago. my car made 533 whp at 23 psi on pump gas (Dynapack 3000) with full exhaust (muffler + 24" resonator). pretty impressed on how much abuse these OEM Toyota pistons can take. I'll post the graph as soon as I take the printout home with me.

and then 2 days go tried the car out for a day at the drag strip. for some reason, there was no track bite at that particular day (heard about ruling complications). best time was just 12.83 @ 129 mph with a totally useless 2.46 60-ft time. this was done with full interior and exhaust on 4 year old Advan Neova AD07s. hopefully next time the track will be in a lot better condition. It was annoying seeing stripped EGs and EKs with 400-500hp running 12.6s to 13.6s...

Wow mental car, sounds amazing and goes like fuk! :) class tune in the video too and I laughed at the other driver peeping at you when you ripped past it! lol

Could you tell my HONESTLY, that your block has no aftermarke sleeves? Only the blockguard? I can't imagine how a stock Honda block can hold more then 500hp..

thanks for the positive comments guys, I appreciate it :)

yup that's basically it. alot of people in the US and other parts of the world, here included, have done it and a few even had much more power.

I was actually alot more surprised at those OEM Toyota pistons handling those kinds of numbers on pump gas

some pics from the dyno & night before the trip to the drag strip for trial runs on the street. tried to tune 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear boost levels but ended being a complete failure on the dragstrip.

on the dyno. borrowed a friend's EP3 wheels with Advan tires in hopes of having better traction for the next day.

very slight error on my horsepower claim. car did 531whp, not 533 as I have said. anyway, here's the graph as promised a picture of the dyno session taken by my friend:

lol my weedy little starlet made around 180HP you guys are making 3 times that..

cant believe i've not seen this thread before! your car is crazy, and i like it! ALOT lol

a little update on the car today:

changed (borrowed only haha) the camshafts to Skunk2 Pro1s and the intake manifold to an Edelbrock Victor X one. for some weird reason the fuel system wasn't good enough anymore to raise the power. here are the numbers:

569whp (roughly 643 bhp)
330ft-lbs of torque on the wheels (down by 20 ft-lbs compared to the old ITR Manifold/Cams)

power band was still climbing all the way to 9200 rpm as opposed on the previous setup where it started to fall 8500 onwards. I'll upload pics once I get a printout. Thanks for looking through this thread :)

Thats great power your making! I wonder why that was with the fuel system?
