Hi guys i was just wondering something..

My good mate has a 1.0 litre nissan micra and think's he is really quick and thinks he could beat me hands down.

So i challenged him to a race about 30 min's ago and he started pulling on me in 3rd! i couldnt believe it!

What do you guys think im doing wrong?

Surely i should be faster than 1.0 Nissan Micra?

Mate tell me about it! 1st and 2nd we were dead level but the torque of that 1.0 just started pulling on me in 3rd and left me for dust!

I mean, my car car thrash E46 M3's and the like but christ are those Micra's quick!

Yeh, but if you welded another couple of cylinders to your engine, turboed it and learnt how to stick your arse out the window, do a fart and still drive at the same time, you should be able to beat it in a drag-race no problem :nice:
 
All i'm saying is - good job it wasnt the 1.2ltr you raced with viper stripes

Well I know in Japan the Nissan Mirca is known as the Nissan March which had a JDM only version that came turbo'd from the factory, known as a march superturbo, think some of these even had a turbo and supercharger fitted (together on the 1 engine I mean).
The later versions were still know as Nissan March but think the turbo'd models name changed from superturbo till something else.

On a slightly different note, back in the day a fella round my local town had a 1.2 nova that out accelearated all the SR's (nova SR's) running around and he did genuinely have a 1.2 engine but it turned out he had fitted a 1.0 nova diff so gearing could also be a possibility but handiest opinion is to get him to pop the hood ;) or ask.... lol
 
Yes the first gen micra turbo had a supercharger which operated in the lower rpm range then the turbo took over at higher rpm. Quick cars.
 
haha brilliant, yeah similar to they daihatsu charade turbos wee 1.0 turbos but off the line they go like stink !
