My plan for my 98 Civic Hatchback(Can someone tell me what kind it is cause i know there is special codes for them like EK9 and stuff so what is mine? its a 1998 Civic Hatchback DX, Automatic)

I'm new to cars and stuff i'm only 17 trying to get to know cars, this is my First Car so if you think i should do something else tell me and give me tips. Since i don't know how to put on these parts i will probably take the parts to Garage and get them put on the car, i was also planning on taking Mechanics this Summer.

Exterior
Type R Back and Front Lip

Type R Red White Emblems

Type R Grille

Interior
New Sounds System
Keeping everything else Stock.

Wheels
Drag DR-16
115-2T.jpg

Engine
I'm not planning on Racing or anything this is just going to be a Cruise around car but i still want it to be fast so, what kind of Engine would be good that is Fast and that can be fit into an Automatic.

EDITED: Getting my Bumper done and adding lip would look better(What do you think?)

Gotta have a lip, Mugen looks great on 96-98's, then again so does the type R, or you could just opt for the jblood bumper if you have the cash. Your very new to this, i think perhaps you should have a look through our photo/video section and the member gallery, find your style and your taste. That way you build the car with your vision and you won't be second guessing yourself every step of the way, i speak from experience, been doing this Honda thing for 9 years now... Find a style you like and go with it :nice:

Yeah i've been looking at photos all day i want to keep my Bumper and just put a nice lip on it, not too expensive but good quality and nice look, What do you Suggest?

Mugen or Type R, its really the only way to go these days unless you can track down a genuine Spoon lip, but i personally don't like the Spoon, i say go with the Type R lip, make sure to get the matching rear lip too though! And don't pay more than $60 each.

Ok i'm also going to get the Type R Grill i heard Lips and Grilles are easy to put on so yeah.

Ebay would be the cheapest for me because the ones at passwordjdm and options are 200+ for both

Lips from Ebay can be good, just before everyone starts about Ebay being shite. I had a brand X PU replica of Type R lips and guess what, fitment was spot on! Of course, this is no guarantee that other lips will be spot on too.

By the way, "automatic" and "fast" is a contradiction :D Get rid of the automatic box if you swap for a better engine.

start with never putting Rotas on your hatch
Aways buy JDM parts, more expensive yes but never loses value & never no regrets!

Why is Rota bad? Just because something is or is not JDM doesn't say anything about quality.

i agree why go with cheap wheels like rotas when you can be Different and get Real JDM wheel and stand out :win: sure they cost a lot but in the End you will be smiling and thinking to yourself at every carshow and say "Ay look everyone is Jocking my wheels" :wow:

Yeah, you can join the whole JDM hype. OR just do whatever you want yourself. Cause there are enough non-JDM parts that are good.

Let's not confuse the poor guy
yeah lip kits are the cheapest way to make it look awesome!!

personally i'm all for rota's, they aint THAT weak, ive seen mates cars that have been rattled with rota,s then mates that have done the same with volks and what not, and it seem to be the genuine ones that come out worst?, plus i used to have rota's and was always ok if they got damaged....cheap replacement, but ive got rpf1's now and it will be a different story if i ruin one of those :(

plans sound good for the car :)

Well they're not Rota's they're ROTA Look a likes i think its a good started Wheel for me then when i get a real job thats when i get the Rota's and do all the other expensive stuff.
