I wasnt picking holes in yours. Its the dc2 running a 13.7/13.6 I dont believe.
Like Lee said, I know of some quick dc2s with full breathing mods, stripped out with high compression and these are running 14.0 or 14.1.
times seem a little suspicious dan
in my ek9 i got 13.95 @ 104mph with a 60ft time of 2.150 on toyo t1S's and no LSD
this was on a runway of an airport which had little traction and was on a slight incline up
timing gear was set up and run by the same crew that do santa POD
figures seem to conflict
right,
However suspicious the times i got are, they are the times i got. And to compare, i already said i went to that same strip when i first got my EK9 with my B16B and could only manage a 15.2 @ 92MPH.
On that day there were some very powerful cars that could not manage good times. So i was no exception to the rest. Alot of people on the day were coming up to me asking what the hell i had in my car to go so quickly. They thought i had cams/pistons etc.
Even i was shocked. But im not being funny nothing can really touch me on the road either. I get comments all the time for why the car is so quick.
The times fully add up IMO, hard to believe yes, but when racing other well known fast cars and im pulling on them i think well a 13.7 does make sense....
I also would like to think im pretty decent at dragging.
"ninety-one-racing" speaks some good sense.
I cannot scan my slip as i only have a lap top but here is what the slip says that was the best time:
REACTION - 0.674
60ft - 2.290
330ft - 5.905
MPH - 81.27
660ft - 8.928
990ft - 11.473
MPH - 101.10
13.781
People can go on all day but im not lying.
Hi guys, i went to the pod on the 22/2/09 in my b18 powered ek9 and my fastest time was a 13.7 with a terminal of 99, also did 13.9 and a 14.0.
Hi guys, just thiught id tell you all my spec with prices so people have got a rough idea. lightened flywheel, p30 pistons, 81.25 bore, standard head gasket, s2 high comp valves, s2 pro series springs and rets, s2 pro 1 cams, mild head work, s2 pro series inlet with aem hybrid filter, mugen header, de-cat, spoon b-pipe and n1, mapped on crome. This made 230 at thor and i have done 12000 miles in it without any problems
also why do people keep talking as if LSD's make any difference on traction in a straight line..???
@LEE, Im not sure why that guy only manged a 14.0, driver probably has alot to do with it. I have a bit of experience behind me in dragging.
As i said im not at all surprised with my time as the car on road really is a fast car. You managed a 13.9, but remember i have a header/exhaust. So ive probably got a bit more power then you and im using a very good intake/ OEM DC2 intake with cold air feed out the bumper BUT still on stock filter. Works really well though.
If you had the same mods as me, as you mentioned your is completely stock then im sure you could get very close to 13.7 too.
I also had my rear stripped out like you.
when i say stock i mean stock intenally as in no fancy flywheels or cams
i obviously have breathing mods in the form of
J's Racing induction kit
DC2 98 spec 4 into 1
fujitsubo decat
fujitsubo RM01A b pipe
5zigen pro racer axle back
