i havent driven mine much yet but i dont think its as fast as my ek was and to get any power out the s you really have to rev it hard in vtec
Rev hard on all of them B/K and F to get anything out of them. I was running 255whp on the old K20S stock, that was a ton from a stock setup. This S2000 is also stock but the handling is by far superior over my old hatchback, which should translate to faster lap times over the hatchback even tho the hatchback had more power...
The engine torque is perfect, which always lagged in the B and K engines.
thought i-vtec was better than F20 on that area
well in every aspect witch you think is better k or F series ?
In every department really, not
too much power and torque, like a corvette, its perfect for this rwd setup.
Not having the front wheels loaded with power is a nice change, steering wheel feedback and input are night and day difference from my past fwd honda's. Even with the EHPS, the feedback is excellent. [
EHPS is another one of those projects I had planned for the civic, stock with S2000, anywho--.]
The J's rear wing, that thing is big, but it works! Without the wing it seems a tad jumpy, likes to step out. With it--solid, well planted.
Its a different type of performance driving over the fwd. I feel there is more potential in the S2000 stock, over the custom civics I've owned. Cant really compare the two, its just not a fair comparison. However, I do like the s2000 big time.
