my sisters ek had a bit of a missfire so we took the spark plugs out and checked the leads, on checking the leads one of them earthed on the rocker cover and blew the ignition fuse, we have replaced the fuse but now the car turns over but won't start??

thinking it might be an inertia or fuel cut switch but can't seem to find it?

any ideas??

thanks,

mat.

It's located on the passenger side foot well up behind on the right.

Have you got a spark now?

fixed it,

it turned out to be a couple of bits and bobs inside the distributor needed replacing (the ignitor and the ignition coil, luckily she had replacements ready to go)

the car now runs, but still has a terrible miss-fire under load when pulling away.

we have played with the timing, but that hasn't seemed to make any difference.

going to try new leads next and see where that gets us!!

thanks,

mat.
