wiring/starting problem

My car was standing for 2 months with the gearbox out. I fitted another box last week, but now the car won't start. the ignition lights work as normal and the engine light flicks once after 2 seconds or so after switching on the key. But the engine won't start. Is there anything I need to reset or that.
any help is greatly appreciated.
 
Can you check if your spark plugs have gasoline on them?
 
Battery? If not I bet you forgot to bolt back your earth cable to the gearbox. Just have a look around and see if there is any wires left not connected.
 
More than likely the gearbox earth not been put back on. I have fooled myself a few times by doing this at work as i usually stick it somewhere out the way
 
Thanks falks. it was just the earth wire that was missing. now that son of a honda start one time. but the engine light stays on whilst idling. i did not drive it yet coz the radiator and the aircon is not connected yet. but could it be bacause the engine took a knock in the crash or something else?
 
Jump the service connector and retrieve the fault code
 
thanks a lot folks. it was the speedo connector that was left out. now that i connected it. the problem should be gone. i didnt get to test it yet coz i sent my battary for charging. thanks once again. you guys are really helpful
