Hi all, I have recently put my 98 EK4 (milano red) off the road to do a load of work to it.
Not that it needs it all but the paint is bad (no rust, well till i removed the wheel arch liners anyway!)

I decided to do a wire tuck while i was at it.
Its a serious amount of work, beginning to wonder if its worth it.:nerv:
Thinking i've bitten off way too much, even though i have bought another runaround to keep me going.

So I decided i'm not gonna do a half-arsed job, so i decided to relocate the battery to the boot, and the engine bay fuse box to the glove box.

Dilemma:
Got the loom ends out the door cable exits but i'm stuck as to what to do with the ABS cables to the pump motor. How exactly can i make this look neat and tidy?:nerv:

I also thought about ditching the ABS alltogether but i haven't seen much info on that.

So i'm wondering if anyone has come across this before?
Any ideas, thoughts, pointers are all welcome.

Thanks for your help all... :thanks:

while the old engine is out you may as well smooth all the holes in around the bay

get rid of abs and power steering too you big wuss

lol

I've done a small amount of a wire tuck in my bay, once you start its not that hard!

If you want to remove ABS you need to remove it ALL and replace the hard lines with non ABS lines. Pretty sure there is a write up floating around, I will try find it for you.

If you have any other specific questions I will try my best to help answer =]
