Alright

Right I've had my car for about 3 years now, em1 coupe always have had the same stupid problems the window regulators! Nw I've changed both sides like 3 times and they still cause me problems! Either there to slow to go up or stop in the middle, the regulators with the motors have been bought frm ek9.org users and also know the guys so they have been locked after! What else could it be? Maybe rubbers, any advice please
Thanks

Ya dude regularly just open the door panel and put moose wd40 on the rubbers and that should speed it up

I got the same damn issue lol
I changed the outter window rubber and that solved it. but keep topping up with WD40 to

The rubber sleeves in the guides can twist which gives you problems. Take door card off and using your fingers make sure the rubber is located correctly in the metal channels either side of the windows. I would use a silicon spray to lubricate the rubber also.

Once you have done that hook the switch up and check the glass is running smoothly before you put the panel back on.

I have same issue but the wd40 only seems to last 1-2 days, try and get a manual winder, less weight... Less problems :)

Had this issue myself with the twisted rubbers. Put plenty of spray grease onto it, but it hasnt worked.

I only put my window down to half way now, any further then it is very slow at coming up. Dont wanna burn the motor out again as its a PITA to change.

Yeah mate the only thing you can do really is grease up the regulators and if that fails just get a new motor lol Ive been kinda lucky myself cause when I got my new door the window was faster than my old one and that was very good aswell!

Well I did my window oiling yesterday and now Its alot faster all I Did was put window fully down then just oil/wd40 the side rubbers and just put the window up and down fully three or for timesand problem solved.

DO NOT PUT WD40 on rubber parts as it corrodes them further, what you all need is silicone spray or some other form of lubricating oil.:nice:
