Want to swap over my recaros from a 9 with my type r seats, will I need different rails or will it be a straight forward fit?
 
they wont fit/swap over you need to modify or get customs rails

Custom rails, that sounds expensive, the recaros are in my eg6 at the minute ,unsure what rails there on, but will the seats with the rails atm fit into my ep3
 
You wont need to get custom rails, you can buy Recaros base mount railsmade to fit an EP3.

Some EP3's come with Recaros fitted (Import Type-R, Premier Edition), the rails from these once fitted to the EK9/DC2 Recaros will allow them to fit into the EP3.

Any chance you could send a link budd, really need them, also will they sit nice and low because I'm sat way to high for my comfort, like to be pretty much on the floor

Ep3 seats hardly hug you and are to hard, ek9 recaros are awsume, plus I'm sat so high in the ep3
 
Anyone done this? Looking to fit my ek9 recaros into my ep3. Dont want to go customising the ek9 rails. Are there recaro basemounts for sale anywhere?

Think the 3 options are
1, find someone breaking a premier edition/import with recaros and buy the subframes
2, sell the ek9 recaros and buy ones from someone breaking premier/imported ep3
3, get custom subframes made.

I have EP3 anniversary/premium seat rails for sale in case you're still searching.

Just bumped my thread in the For Sale Forum.
 
just to confirm ek9 recaros will not fit in a uk ep3 with premier edition seat rails or th ek9 seats rails. just tried it today. there is no way of doin it without cutting and welding and massively customising the premier edition ep3 seat rails

gutted like!! :(
 
Can you not get Bride RO rails for the ep3? Pretty sure they bolt up to Recaros.
