So I’ve established the recently purchased 9 has spoon fixed height dampers and some unbranded standard height springs. I can't decide now whether to replace the springs with spoon progressive road springs or eibach 35mm drop springs. You suggestions are welcome. Also if anyone knows, how low do the spoon springs drop your car? if any.

i have always bought eibach springs not necessarily for jap cars but mostly german and have to say there great in my opinion real nice ride and the height is bang on :) as for spoon i do not know sorry lol

spoon are great springs!

just oem + plus a bit stiffer and a bit lower so = perfect :)

If you have spoon fixed dampers i would personally say it would be best to match them with spoon springs..

The springs i have tried on my car's are Koni, Spax, and Eibach.

I can tell you Eibach are by far the best i have tried. Very little body roll but very very compliant on the road. its ride very nicely... they will more than be up to the job..

But as i said as you have spoon dampers it'd be a shame not to run the springs with them.

Kozy was running the spoon springs and dampers on his EK4.. Send him a PM for info on how much they drop.. I'm sure a google search will give good results though. :naughty:

PLEASE CLICK
Let me google that for you

Bascially mate its a 20MM drop

What about the spring rate? The eibachs listed for the ek chassis aren't any stiffer than those on the CTR, just lower.

can't help there mate...sorry..

tired google but nothing came up on a quick search.
call spoon europe ????

Get the Spoons, I have them with the fixed dampers and they are superb. The Eibachs are a bit softer and drop lower, so won't handle as well.

Spoons are 352/308, Eibachs off the top of my head are about 310/275 (the heavier of the two available)
