which Header


Fujitsubo? Heard some good things about them. Although if you can afford SMSP or Toda, I'd go with them.

SMSP does not 'pwn' all simply because they don't offer a header for the B16A/16B. Dave specifically recommends the Toda for 16 applications.

So they/he is off the list.

Vibrant is the best bet of the lot based on my personal experience and also the budget of the original poster. 5Zigen (GoZigen not FIVEzigen :p) seems to also be a good piece for those with a budget to consider.

98spec is heavy and ground clearance isn't as good as the Zigen or the Vibrant. Though it's probably the only piece that could survive a landmine (crater of a pothole).

Of course, Toda > all for an off the shelf header for 16A/B.
 
Toda - great design, gains and everything, but thing that scares me about them is the seemingly large number of welds it has on the damn thing.
More potential points of failure IMO.
Anyone heard of any long term problems with weld failure?
 
all additional welds on newer toda are good thing as seem to have been added to strengthen certain points that were more prone to failure on older version

quality of teh toda seems amazing ill get some pics up of mine later :nice:
 
they recently switch out from the spring loaded coupling to welded pieces, which is better IMO

The clearance on that Toda is better than your sump, looks like you won't have to worry about scraping it :nice:


That SMSP looks a monster, very industrial looking.
 
SMSP , BISI , Hytech , SPFab , and if you want to be a really baller a RMF custom header :bow:
i would also recommend getting any header CERAMIC JET HOT COATED
 
I also have a 5zigen header. Very good street header, nice torque down low and mid. Top end not as good as a 4-1 header though, but not far off. Best value. But yeh, as everyone suggests, TODA is best for B16 for twice the cost.
