Which car to turbo?

I am looking to pick up a cheap civic that I can turn into a tuner car. What year and model should I be looking at? I'm aiming for a car that I can have fun with on the weekend. I do intend on doing a full engine and tranny build along with a turbo setup using a standalone unit. I do also want a sleeper look.

i would suggest an EK...wid a Turbo K20...but thats just my prefference...
