Ad08s are hugely popular id imagine because theyre that good. 888s i dont think wear great and squirm under braking sidewalls dont seem great. Want something decent to be competive in time attack any sites that sell tyres from race cars like btcc etc? I know those lads only do one or two heat heat cycles and change them.
I recently swapped from T1Rs to 595 RSRs and my god what a difference, the grip is incredible compared, i haven't even pushed them to the limit either. One thing to note, the side walls are so stiff the tyre machine scratched my wheels pretty bad
they are a road tyre so of course the a048's or r888's would be better as they are competition tyres
the yoko equivilant (and IMO superior) is the ad08 and the toyo's R1R's
For the price compared to all of the others I don't think you'd get better.
At £77 for a 205/45/16 there amazing, they last alot long than others too, great of your using these tyres daily!
I had a set of federals 595 rsr got them from mytyres had as much grip as the ad08's in the dry but i think they were better in the wet sent them back because they started to delaminate but this was over a year ago so federal have probably sorted it now
