Whats it worth S4C Civic Type R gearbox

Have an s4c gearbox outta my type r, not gonna waffel or try rip anyone off so here it goes...
Gearbox is after being replaced because it was getting hard to get in and out of 2nd and 3rd and sometimes other 1st and 4th.
Have been told its the syncros on the way out.
Wondering if there would be any interest in this box, Maybe as a project to somebody whos handy with cars or a mechanic etc.
Be good for someone with the knowledge to fix up and make a profit on....

Was thinkin mine is maybe worth around €250??

Any help or offers appreciated
 
i bought mine for £200 with a blown diff, others i saw fully working no problems was selling for £600.

when you do sell it make sure to show the buyer the stamp on the eninge its normally sprayed on in black stencil paint and it will say "R4 LSD", becuase the the VTI also came with a S4C box but it had no diff
 
Just sold one for £350, there's a few on civiclife at the Moment for around the £400 Mark and one just sold on JDMY0 with an ATS diff for only £450 IIRC.
 
I have S40 VTi gearbox from B16A2 if i buy your gearbox can i fit your LSD to mine?
 
Think you need to have a box with a LSD case
 
Thank you ek9ctr but if i fix his gearbox with my components of the S40 gearbox or i just fit all my gears to his gearbox ?
 
I honestly couldn't tell you (without bull sh!tting) as I don't want to give you any incorrect information. I'm sure one of the guys that knows gearboxes will be able to tell you.

S40/S20 are D series gearboxes not VTI, you can retro fit an LSD into a non LSD box it just requires shaving to the rear part of the casing!
 
Yeah Jimbo sorry mate i forgot the code is Y21. So i can fit my gears to his gearbox? so i can have his LSD?
