What's it worth: boys zero1 catback

So bought my nine today!
Exhaust is too loud for trackdays so needs to go.
From what I'm told this is a rare exhaust. So anyone know what it's worth before I put it for sale?

It will be difficult for anyone to advise you on this as it's pretty rare, but their not impossible to get. If you search the JDM Auctions they're there. I can get them pretty easily compared to certain systems which are much much harder to find..... such as Tracy Sports or Amuse systems, now they're hard!

Send me some pics first and we'll see from there.

Deal for my FEEL's system haha!! Would want cash my way as the FEEL's is at least £1,500 new the Boyz's is a lot less valuable than a FEEL's unfortunately.

Drop me a line though any way whatever happens, we'll see.

Need to see if its EG compatible first.... would only be able to tell by looking at it really, there will be NO info anywhere about it due to their rarity and Japan specific status.

It may of been £1500 new, certainly doesnt mean its worth anyway near that now.

My coilovers were 3.1k new, and more than likely worth closer to £700-800 in their excellent, working condition.. Your feels system would probably fetch £400-500 like the twinloops, spoon n1s

I'm aware of the value of things mate, i specifically deal in rare parts. That's the one thing I do know well. There are few things I enjoy more than them.....

You are right however, you never get the true value of them. The only ones that pay top $$$ are the Americans and Canadians these days as their the only ones with money. But that's besides the point....... the FEEL's system is more valuable than a Boyz-ZERO1 system. That was the point I was trying to make..... but didn't do it as well as I could have admittedly.


And I wouldn't give you £700-£800 for your coilovers I'm afraid that's for sure! M&M or not!

I wasn't aware you had a K20 EK mate, sorry! But I knew about your M&M's as "walle" messaged me about them, saying you were selling them.

Wouldn't buy them to re-sell mate..... I need some myself!

It depends a lot on the condition and what they've been used for.... but I've seen people struggling to sell "rare" parts these days....... just ask Sam (K's Circuit) as I know he's had a set of Spoon N1 coilovers that are brand new in their box as far as I'm aware and they haven't sold!

Getting very very difficult to sell stuff now........ well I always seem to struggle at least.

Haven't seen a set of Bloodsports coilovers sell over here, where'd you see those?!

All I want is what it's worth, then I'll go get myself something alittle less loud.
I don't care what the exhaust is aslong as it meets my needs. 2.5inch and track friendly.
If the Jdm boys what to pay top money then I'll let them lol

Unfortunately its not worth much at all . First of all is it a BOYZ one as they closed down a few years back so it may not be a BOYZ. If its fairly new it will just be zero-1 as shown here:

As you can see here, they cost about £270 brand new in Japan. I'd be able to order one for around £320 delivered here. So I'm afraid they don't have much value.

Don't be so quick to shoot down 'JDM' parts as a rip off. In terms of power gains I'm certain this is one of the best off the shelf systems available as it is basically a straight 2.5" pipe. (at least I assume this is 2.5" as I know a NA6 mx-5 one is as I sent an email to ask). And this only costs £270 so not bad value at all really.

It does annoy me a little when people assume that if they have a custom part made up it will be automatically better than something a tuning company has spent £££s on researching and developing. Take for example the Spoon N1 exhaust. I've heard so many people say 'ohh its crap cause it bottlenecks down at the muffler'. Well actually, this 'bottleneck' is there to increase flow velocity at the end of the exhaust where it is furthest away from engine and so velocity will be at its lowest, if that makes sense. Think about it, why would a hugely successful tuning company just decide to limit power by narrowing the pipe down for no reason? It actually helps improve power.

Well as you can see in that link, they don't cost that brand new in Japan and I know RHD Japan can get them in at the same price as they're who I spoke to about getting an mx-5 one, which is where I got the £320 delivered from

Bear in mind though, as I said in my prev post that BOYZ stopped making them a few years ago and CST bought BOYZ out, so it may be that when they came under the BOYZ brand they cost more?

I do agree, haven't had time to snap pics of it yet. Been working on it a fair bit.

Seems its worth sweet f/a so will add my own silencer to bring the noise down.
Thanks for everyone's input saves me looking at other exhausts.
