As you all know the EK9 was never released to the U.S. Market. Out here I would say the EK9 is very rare to have an original one. You have the importing cost luxury tax and special registration in some areas. Making it very difficult to actually own one.

So in most cases we tend to create replicas and import all the original parts.
The EK9 and replicas of usually go for minimum of $10.000.00. And they go up from there.

So out of curiosity I was wondering how much a clean original EK9 is worth in the different parts of the world.

look in "cars for sale" on here and that will give you idea.

Cheapest place will be Ireland at the moment :nice:

magik it wasn't released for the U.S. market as it was not released for every other except JDM.
there are not many ek9's in my country as you can't register RHD but for sure there are some converted to LHD
price? I guess it's not possible to buy one :D you want one, you go to UK or import from Japan

10 grand (from where I stand) is fu%kin cheap, as well as 6-7k pounds in UK.... if you're from such country :)

where I live, depending if it's a facelift or a pre-facelift...it's around 10,000euros - 14,000euros which is very expensive I think!

you can pick up a decent one for 2300-4000 euros in ireland

or anywhere from abour 18,000 up here in aus

\500000.00 ($6,000.00 usd) anyday of the week here in Japan, they usually have some good parts on the too.

EK4 type r was being sold at 50k us$. and yes it wasn't a typo, 50grand.

England - from £4000 but I'd definately say the average is £6000

A sports classic.
The unbeatable 1.6L engine pumping out all alive , naturally aspirated 185hp.
Not to mention the looks that make it one of the best hatchbacks ever.
Zero problems.
1000 After market Brands to choose for tuning it inside out.

As low life said Ireland is probably cheapest at the moment but that doesnt mean there good. A load of ones here are in terrible condition and you'l still pay a good price for a decent one.

@ EternalBlue2000. Thanks that actually did help. I didn't even think to look there. I'm still a noob on this site.

@ hrabia. The ones I was talking about here in the States for that price are clones. Basically they will take the base model Civic and convert some things over. Perhaps motor swap. Bumpers. Headlights. Wheels. Sometimes interior. It would be great to have one all original.

@ JDMDingo. Around $6,000.00 USD. Wow that's a great deal. I've spent way more than that on my car. Im going to have to go to Japan one day am ship one back on a container.

Other than that Irland seems to have some great deals on EK9s.

I was reading on my old post. You mentioned that EK9s go for about $6000.00. Do you know of any exporters in your area that might have experience shipping to USA. I'm extremely interested in getting a quote on a total cost. Or if you can point me in the right direction. Maybe a website or a number to call.

Any help on this matter would be extremely appreciated!

Thank you in advance.

I got mine from Northern Ireland for £3700, only had 2 scratches on n/s/r wing, and rear a.r.b bushes! But apart from that it was mint. Definatley got a great deal!

8000 to 10000 euro in Belgium, but there's only a few here because importing a car in Belgium which never sold new here is very difficult and takes a long time.
