I have an AEM V2 and I seem to like it and had the car dyno'd and it came back with good figures but I've seen a fair few Mugen and ItG induction kits come up for sale and people saying they are better than the aem v2.. Car is getting a re-vamp and i've sorted most of the handling aspects of it and looking at BHP figures now

I guess it depends on how seriously you're looking at BHP figures. Most people say the Mugen is the best but its a lot of money for not a huge gain!

dc2 induction kit has been proven to be the best, I run AEM V2 as well, just sounds amazing lol

Dc2 works just fine...:)

Look like its just a wider neck.

Look like its just a wider neck.

Slightly...you get a larger pinch after the filter going to the TB.
lowest cost solution would be the DC2 and its sleeper.
Mugen or Icebox same deal, just more money really.
As long as its getting cold flow of air, not heated air from under the hood.

Cool got a dc2 on mine anyway so saves me money ther!

So is the dc2 better than the aem v2

They are both good, cold air intake is where its at. As long as you get a good flow of it you should be golden.

However--better filtering with the others, as the V2 has filter at the intake area under the fender where all the dirt, mud and water float around. The others have a long tube which some of that crap gets filtered out with prior to getting to the actual filter.

In my eyes, the V2 is perfect for track [if you keep it on the track lol]. Others are perfect for track and street use.

My car has never seen a track and never will, it's genuinely not abused it's just I like having BHP and having a nice spec on my motor, was gonna sell it during the year but had plenty of messers so just ended up keeping it and putting a few quid into it.

Was happy with the bhp for awhile and got new coilovers, spoon struts, lca and rear camber arms so happy with the handlig so back to the BHP for awhile :)

If u want good gains and performance and u want the spec to look good then its a Mugen u want!

DC2 airbox with cold air feed. i have the mugen airbox but for the money it costs i would stick with the dc2 airbox unless you want something with a bit of induction sound. i don't think there much difference in bhp gain between the two.maybe someone has a link that compares the two?

Id go for whatever sounds the best , a difference in 2-3bhp isn't noticeable while the noise is !

In saying that you can have the best of both worlds with a short aluminium intake pipe , Velocity trumpet/stack and K&N filter ... basically a Mugen without the cold air box .

I have a Mugen but have left the box off for the last while , just sounds so good , and I havent noticed any drop in performance.

have used a fair few induction kits through the years and im currently using a comptech icebox

best one ive used yet

I'm using a Topfuel powerchamber (Whales schlong style, like tegiwa, J's etc...), And recently put a cold airfeed in and it helped response alot particularly in hotter days and love the sound too, so it's staying, have used OEM DC2 aswell.
