Hey quick question guys/girls. I want to get a turbo for my EM1, but I just changed my clutch like 1k ago. I put in an Exedy but OEM specs. I know with a turbo its best to upgrade the clutch. Will this clutch for for a few months? I am planning to boost 6-8 psi on the motor fully stock. Or should I replace the clutch? if so what do you recommend?

orc 309 should be plenty up to 300 bhp

ClutchMasters stage 5 4-pad rigid disc.

How long the OEM unit lasts depends on your driving style, you should be able to get a few months out of it...

CC or Exedy or ACT... go with tri-pucks or 6-puck ones if you have the budget. :)

Yea my driving style is hard. Im in vtec 90% of the time lol

Then go with a ClutchMasters stage 5 as i suggest, it has great holding power, the solid disc allows for faster high rpm shifts and clutchmaster pressure plates have high clamp but are soft on the leg.

I guess I would have to get something serious. My old pressure plate cracked and broke into 3 different pieces on me. So after that I started taking it easier on the car.

yea I was being stupid and wanted to see through what gear my car will burnout till. It was kinda wet and I stopped in a neighborhood and went half way through 5th before i noticed that it started to slip and the burn't clutch smell was in my car for 2 weeks.

The ogura racing clutch is very good, bites like crazy but is very light on the foot

Comp Clutch Stage3 is what we normally use on the power level that you speak of. If you desire to turn up the wick then it will surely handle it as well.

i am using exedy stg1 pressure plate and act 6 puck spring disk, ... around 300hp and killing it all the time.. 20k km no problems.. still the same feel!:)
