hi every1 im new to hondas and was wondering what engines are direct fit i want something already turbod or just more bhp .

the 18C is a direct fit and no engine was ever factory turbocharged that will fit directly into your EK9.

just turbo the ek9 b16b engine man, not too much difference between b16b and b18c, just put the money into upgrading parts on the b16b instead of buying b18c in which you will have to upgrade parts anyway for the turbo.

not sure wat bhp the turbo'd b16b would put out, obviuosly depends on what its boosting at but would be decent enough figures:)

here is b16a2 turbo'd..YouTube - 500HP BHT Civic Turbo

i no its 84mm , was just given him an idea is all:)

stroker kit as said above sounds gud:)

Yeah there is, I gained 27BHP "peak" and around 20BHP through most of rev range from a direct swap on same dyno dynamics and my B16B made pretty much dead on what all the other EK9's made on the day so was not underpowered.

Trust me, there is a big difference in "straight line" performance to your average B16B. Excluding playing around with gearing etc, same car with B18C is alot faster and more powerful.

How many stock B16B EK9 with I/H/E do you know that can achieve 13.7 quarter mile? Because that is all i have on my B18C, I/H/E. And im still using the stock 16B box with 4.4 final drive so no fancy gearing.

13.7 is unreal with them mods, what i meant when i said they were the same was the actuall blocks of the engines., i no the b18 has longer stroke and has more power.

i was jus pointing out if he decided to turbo the car use his b16b block instead of buying b18 as the 16b is no different than b18 block apart from the stroke:)

Ahh in that case i agree with you. The only think the 1800 stroke would is aid is turbo spool(less lag) and ultimately give a bit more power due to having more displacement but as you say the B16B will give well plenty enough power.
