Lol, you can't question the timing gear at Shakespeare raceway.....the 2nd biggest drag strip in the UK and most popular with road cars. And part of the FIA drag racing and countless different race/shootout competitions.

What drag strip were you at?

Guys doubt EK9Dan is telling false info, i wouldnt see the point, well im gonna take a passenger ride in Dan's B18C-R EK9 at the RR in Surrey, cant wait and will tell you guys how quick it actually is :))

How would them videos prove your not a bad driver? They are not on the strip and its not that hard to drive fast up the dual and film it. All your doing is changing gear.

Don't forget you have a Mugen ecu as well that has to shave off a few tenths.

I got a 14.44 in a DC2 with a piece of sh!t ebay induction kit, standard exhaust, cat still in, rear seats out and with crap budget tires.

lol,

Its all a bit of fun at the end of the day.

Ive met dino on the day and he is a very genuine chap, very pleasent and i can say he is very clued up. I wouldnt once doubt him and question him about his time however good it may be. He isnt a teenager trying to impress. He is a very enthusiastic guy.

Dino, post your time up dude :nice:

all these times were set at different times of the year, at different locations, with different surfaces and with different drivers, there isn't any real constant between them apart from the distance travelled. but i keep coming back to the this, the driver is by far the biggest variable! we all may think we're good drivers but i see far too many guys thinking just because they floor it and change gear at a certain point, that they are the next senna, its not that simple! and if its your first time doing 1/4 mile times, then book an FIA approved strip someday and go testing, then once your times become consistent, i.e, varying by a few hundreths, you will know what time your car is capable of. it would be a lot easier if the cars could be set up like scalextric cars and sent down the track as fast as they can go..maybe someday..:p

Well said.

That time does not seem unrealistic. Final MPH speed is more a reflection of bhp and as said before 60ft time is down to car set up and driver skill. I have less power than you guys as i have a b18c4 pritty much standard engine with exhuast and filter, stripped out and i have ran a good few 13.7's and 8's with a 60ft time of 2.1xxx @ 99.5mph mph

Good going Guy's keep it up. im hoping for 13.5 next meet, ill let you know how it goes and i always keep my slips for you doubters :)
