Water/Meth without retune?

Hello !

I need to know if i can user water/meth in my b16 turbo without a tuning. I only want it as a coolant, not to get more power.

I have a stock internals b16a with 300whp at 13psi on pump gas.
I got the AEM water/meth kit

most people add water/meth to reduce the knock when running crap gas or really aggressive tunes. I'm by no means an expert on water meth setups i have installed two to date and it was some time ago. One was to run more timing and boost the other was to reduce knock. and both cars were tuned for it.

and why do i need to tune? isn't it the same AF and ignition timing with and without w/m ?

i wasnt the tuner on either install but if i am going by my memory recalls that the a/f ratio in fact did need to be adjusted with the addition of the water/meth setup on both cars we did.
