i have a usdm gsr motor when i start to hit around 5200 it dont feel the pull ...but when it hit 6500 around there all the way to 8200 it screams...vtec kicks but no pull?or no vtec at all....wireing?
 
Hmmm, what ecu do you use ? :)
 
i noticed you have a stock header, what about intake and exhuast? if its all stock vtec wont feel very strong.
 
If the ecu seems fine try checking ur oil level as vtec works with oil pressure...

vtec wont kick with lack of oil.
 
You MUST hear big diference in the sound of the engine at some rpm level. If you hear the VTEC enabled, then you have enough oil. in that case you do not have any electrical problem. Electrical problem is the missing VTEC. VTEC solenoid does not open valve for VTEC oil.

If you hear the vtec, but car does not accelerates differently (as you expected) but still accelerates, then try cleaning complete intake and exaust. Cleaning after 100000 miles of zc1 engine gave me 0.4 sec (and that is not vtec engine) As blinx said, vtec is not NOS. You fill the difference but you will not jump forward.

What I meant to say is that I took of old exaust and put a clean one. I took off intake and put it into pool full of gasoline. I left it there till tomorrow and it was clean. After that I really felt better response.

At that time engine had 100000 miles, and it was deam dirty.

If your vtec does not go as you expected, and engine has some millage on it i suggest to clean those two things.
 
Try taking the vtec solinoid off there is a small gauze filter inside it, if its dirty or cloged this will stop the vtec coming in, clean the gauze and pop it back in and put the vtec solinoid back on to the head :nice:
