Valve cover studs on B16a

Hi lads, Im just wondering whether or not the valve cover studs on the corners are the same as the ones that are used to hold the spark plug cover down? I rang Honda and they dont seem too sure. My mate bought a second hand engine and these were missing. Thanks in advance!

Sorry buddy but there not the same, the 4 in the middle that hold the spark plug cover down are also used to bolt the "cam carrier" down too!

The 4 corner ones are diffrent im 100% sure of that, i have bought the middle ones befor but no the corner ones so i cant help you with part numbers im affraid!

If you just go to honda & get then to bring up a schematic of a B series head & point out the ones you want!:nice:
 
Sorry my mistake don't why I taught he was talking about the rocker cover nuts:angry2: Yeah JB is correct the 4 in middle of rocker cover are different than outer 4
 
i just bought 8 from honda several months back and never knew that (no idea if i have plug cover or outer ones now lol)

tegiwa sells anodised ones same price as honda so id just get them

That's where I made the mistake with what the op was asking, he's actually on
about the studs(threaded bar) which the nuts bolt to.
 
haha even the best get caught out some times:p Hope the OP hasn't gone out and bought the wrong studs:nerv:
 
Found out that the corner studs and ones in the middle are different. Havent bought them yet. Cheers anyway though. By the way what does OP stand for?
