no ek9, just a regular 96-00 hatchback. how do you think will it run me on a monthly / 6-month basis? 19 btw. planning on doing a regular hatch to PMR conversion =)

thanks, guys. had my license for about a year now.

@blinkx: okay, i'll do that. i hope its affordable.

It should be, it also depends on your driving record/age/location/etc, thats why i suggest you call and find out as our rates may be completely different that yours, for example:

I pay $120 a month for full coverage on both my cars (96 civic and 02 WRX), i have 100/300k PD limits and 100k BI limits with 100k UMBI as well as full comp and coll with UMPD. I am 26 and have a spotless record.

My roommate pays $120 a month for liability ONLY on 1 car (96 Integra LS) and his limits are VERY low 15/30 PD and 25 BI with NO comp/coll or UMPD or UMBI. He has 3 points on his record.

key:
pd=property damage
bi=bodily injury
um= uninsured motorist

alrighty then. thanks again. off topic question (i'm very indeciseful).
between the EG and the EK, the EG is more of a rust bucket because of its age, right? btw more OT: i love the blue hatch, blinx =]

Thats very expensive guys! In my country insurance is not mandatory! :nerv:

@RVM: hahah, yes it is expensive. but i have been told that if something happens, then i would be glad i have it.

I'm 21 with $400K liability (I can mess some **** up) and I pay $48 a month on my 96 CX. It was about $75 a month when I was 19 and $70 when I was 20. I have one accident on my record from three years ago but all it did was remove my safe driver discount.

BTW, I have Tennessee Farm Bureau Insurance. My suggestion is always either try your state's Farm Bureau or try State Farm. Looked up quotes on my car from all kinds of companies and Farm Bureau was typically around $40-50 less a month and I have many friends with State Farm and they all say it's pretty great.

lol u guys are lucky....back when i was 17 i paid 180 a month just for liability only on my old eg coupe with one ticket on my record.....now at 20 i'm paying $200 for full coverage on my 02 silverado, liability on my ef and full coverage on my 07 suzuki ltr-450(atv)

well, i checked and the quote told me that if i was signed up on my own i'd be paying a little over $200. so if i do get the car, i'll probably beg my parents on all four to just make me a secondary driver and save 40 bucks. =) thanks for the replies guys.

i did discover that if i go with minimum coverage i can get away with less than 100 a year.
