i know i recomended the spoon type one header to a few people, my appologies, it is not made by spoon it is infact a product of T1R which is type one racing owned by ajracing.com it is NOT associated with spoon in any way.

anyhow here is a link to the header i was referring to, its very similar in design and price to the vibrant race header

T1R header

vibrant race header

p.s. this might help all you guys who are trying to route cold air into your stock air box

one last thing, both the vibrant and T1R race header have been proven to come very close in terms of hp gains when compared to hytech/sms/rmf etc... there an excellent alternative to a custom made race header or the $980 toda header.

exelent your link!!!
the TIR has got a good ratio price per horse power for b18
for B16a2 is it the same ?

should be similar, but you know you can keep it if you ever get a stroker kit:nice:

both vibrant and AJ-racing (type one) are located in canada so i wouldent be surprised if the vibrant makes the header for aj-racing, either way i would choose the vibrant header, there customer service is excellent and they are a great company to deal with.

as far as fitament, what you are referring to is if you want to use this header which has a 2.5" outlet and mate it to your factory cat which in the US is 2.0" you need an adapter. but as long as your cat/decat is 2.5" which ek9 is, you should not have any problems.

i know with some race headers you need to use a non-type r flywheel cover as the type-r unit is very thick. im not sure if you need one for this header, either way a non-type r flywheel cover is cheap and easy to install :nice:

yes i also looking for fujistubo ( legalis R ,RM01) catback or the HKS Silent

the advantage of the HKS is 56mm diameter
and the fujistubo the noice not too important!!

not even, probably for a d16! even b16a's should use 60mm+ imo, once you add cams or ecu anything below 60mm becomes restrictive.

Well, mine was 100mm tip and awfully loud until I got 6 penalty points(total) by police yesterday so I decided to reinstall the silencer to save my driving licence!! LOL :nerv:
Now is just 38mm diameter and you can here only the engine screaming which I like more than before but the silencer has eaten enough horses damn!! I've searched for a new exhaust (60mm - 75mm) and I have found only 85mm+ and this will be again more than enough and too loud also!! :angry2:
What the **** should I do??!!??!! Do I have to cut my silencer a bit to make a bigger hole? :angry2:

never fear blinx is here :) exhuast noise is a major problem in my area also, i have a lot of customers complain about it, we have a few exhuast set ups we recomend to those people that still flow GREAT and keep noise down. i can tell you where to get all the parts and you can have a local muffler shop do the install, first i have a few questions:

are you going for the modified look? or do you want your exhuast to look stock?

what system do you currently have?

would you mind cutting up the system to add parts to it? if not would you be willing to sell it and have a custom one made that i could ensure you would be quiet and look stock.

p.s. im not offering to sell you anything just advice on parts that i know work great to keep noise down and performance up.

A very important question you might forgot to ask: "Where do you live?" :D
Have you ever heart of Cyprus? :wow:
Anyway, first of all, 1) yes, I want it to look aftermarket one.
2) Its a Kakimoto Racing 100mm exhaust (nice flow).
3) No, I do not want to cut and add pieces to the exhaust
4) Custom made exhausts are only a dream here...... :(

of course ive heard of cyprus :) now back to your exhuast, ill be honest, your making it difficult:angry2:, with the rules your putting in place the only option i can see for you is too remove your decat (im assuming you have one?) and put a small muffler or resonator there. and real one, not those cheao ebay ones. something like this:

http://vibrantperformance.com/catal...d=290&osCsid=04a6f4565c597a28f27c1c0b4faf53f1

or if you have room, this would be better:

http://vibrantperformance.com/catal...id=46&osCsid=04a6f4565c597a28f27c1c0b4faf53f1

does your kakimoto exhuast have any kind of resonator on it? if so how long is it? would you be willing to put a larger one?

so what catback can i choose if i bought the J Spec to make the ideal combo ^^

something custom with a resonator, mandrel bent, stainless steel, and the muffler of your choice :nice:

if this isent an option just get any 60mm+ cat back that you like, you might need to have a custom decat made though since the header outlet is 2.5 and most exhuasts are 2.37

oki thx but i dont person who can make a custon exhaust i prefer bought complete catback

what do you thinks about the fujistubo legalis R it a quiet exhasut and 60mm size!
