I've been looking at fitting a turbo to my jordan for a while now but cant seem to find one that includes everything. There's alot with everything but fueling components but I'm not 100% sure on what else I would need (i.e. injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regultor?)
Here's a few kits I've been looking at I don't want something mega bodge to fit something clean simple and able to run low ish boost without damaging the car.
Honda Civic SI, B, D, CRX Series Turbo Kit- TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE

GO-AUTOWORKS Turbo Kits

Edelbrock VICTOR X Turbo Kit - B-series - FUNKY POWER

Greddy Bolt On Turbo Kit - B-series - FUNKY POWER

Also saw this one on ebay but I have suspicions that it's cheap for a reason...
HONDA CIVIC CRX T3/T4 B16/18 D15/16 TURBO CHARGER KIT | eBay

I plan to run fairly low boost on stock internals but I'm unsure if this is possible as it has fairly high mileage (121000 miles ish). Should I renew anything and if so what? It's a well serviced car and the engine is looked after no knocks etc. (Just a burst exhaust manifold) From what previous owners have told me it has had the head skimmed and the inlet ported and polished but unsure if he was bullshitting or not.
A little help would be appreciated :nice:
:thanks:

Ah the priciest one lol.
Good quality from what I've read on honda tech though

Skip he eBay items get on to civic life and look for the race-tech kits from a guy called Ricky... You get a basic kit 300-400 bhp it's a td05 he can carry out all the work needed to install and also map it.

Think the kit retail around £1400

Read alot good reviews bar 1 from boy on here (vtec-6000) think that was more about postage though.

People will also tell you that save the money and build your own kit but if your not too clues up on turbo set-ups then the kit for you.

Ok I'll sign up tonight. I know a bit about turbo set ups as I help a few of my mates out with theirs but have never run a turbo car myself. It's just the different opinions on fueling that confuse me as well as engine internals as some say stock is fine in a b series while others say uprate it :/

Well at the end of the day it depends on how much power your looking and also will it be a track car etc... Read on here fella called " ek9turbo" (I think) stated if it's for tracking everything shud be upgraded like engine internals oil cooler water cooler fuel set-up.

That race-tech basic kit, plenty people running them on standard engines around 8psi but there b18c4 and they getting mid 300bhp.. Fuel wise it has an option to upgrade the injectors and pump... Just read plenty and ask people that no

the fab work on the turbo looks nasty as fook! sorry! I like the manifold though.

i think the ebay kits are ok for what they are, just upgrade the turbo and thats about it, they come with the cast manifold anyway

Was looking at the ractech kit with that I take it I would need new fuelling components and obviously ecu and map.

thats with any kit that you buy, you have to upgrade your injectors, and have a remap.

Just remember that you will need a clutch to cope with the extra torque, and make sure the rest of the car ie suspension, brakes are up to the task:nice:

Yeah I was looking at bigger brakes I take it even ek9 brakes on a Jordan won't be big enough stopping power? Something like 4 pots or bigger?
And clutch wise what are folk running? Would a stage 2 exedy cope or a 6 puck clutch?

for the street the ek9 brakes are very good with an uprated set of pads and good tyres.

Spoon 4-pots are one of the ultimate upgrade and will outperform most tires short of slicks.

Remember with brakes its more about heat dissipation than size.!

Spoon calipers are a good £800! Lol anything between the two worth going for or just save? If spoons were on the front what would you upgrade rears to?

Alright bud. There's a company on here called freakyparts. They do brake conversion kits using wilwood midilite (I think) 4 pot calipers and standard sized (282mm) discs for a good price...may be worth hitting them up...even just for a quote :nice:

You wouldnt upgrade the rears. The front brakes do most of the work and the rears are more than adequate.
