Hi guys :) been looking at turbo kits for the b16b, is there such thing as a good turbo kit? Wouldn't mind turboing mine down the line. The prices didn't seem to expensive. What power can internals take? 300whp?
Thanks

For value for money & quality you won't beat GO-AUTOWORKS.com (i can personally vouch for them)

300whp is the MAX i'd run, but then again it depends on the dyno. You'd be better off selling the B16b and buying a b16a. That way if it does blow up you can replace it for next to nothing.

As above, or better still by a b18c4 and get the extra cc and grunt for cheap moniz :)

hello mate Treadstone Performance does a very nice kit for $1600 delivered.

you get in the kit,

turbonetics t3/04e turbo

intercooler

intercooler pipeing(with bov flange of chioce)

cast manifold

down pipe

oil lines

Blow of valve(of choice)

waste gate(of choice)

Screemer pipe

all bolts and gaskets needed

i have been running there kit for 2 years hassle free

im running 289.4whp and 221.6ft/lb, on a B20 running 12 psi.

my friend also has the same kit and he is running 307whp at 22 psi on a b16a2

me and my friend fitted both kits and was both tuned by TDI-PLC in essex.

They seem good kits. What power would I get from
This and map? If that company fitted it?

Shaun don't froget that harvey was running uprated internals also. if you plan to use a stock internal engine. i wouldn't hope for 290WHP...

not trying to rain on the parade mate, just thought i'd add that to get that much reliable WHP you are definately looking at uprated internals.. just so you weren't under the impression it is a bolt on kit to get that power. thats all buddy..

godd luck with this though something i have always wanted to do TURBO B SERIES :))

Thans mate, I appriciate your advise instead of someone saying just do it lol.
I have been looking into doing the internals, doing a proper job. I have a daily run around car so
I have a lot of time to do it do no rush really.
Thanks for the help though guys :)

Ive daily run my b18c4 ob stock internals at 340bhp and no drama in 9 months of violating it :)

this has to be one of the best comments i have seen from a new user in regards to people enquiring into turbos.. definately the right outlook to have.. :nice:

this is gonna be a nice build once started

S**T, yeah i should of mentioned mine has uprated internals, but dont get get me wrong a civic with 300 at the fly would still shift

but when it is wet or slightly damp mine cant get any sort of grip and as for snow it doesnt move at all

Hah cheers, do all the newbies just want to bolt a big turbo and get big power? Cheapest way possible?

as above mate. i'd only ever recommend uprated internals when boosting a Bseries block, just for peace of mind. i wasnt going to do mine at first but im glad i did, i couldnt imaging going out for a blast and having at the back of my mind ' i hope my engine holds out'
do it once, do it right. best advice i can give you.

on another note...... you'll love the civic once boosted. there little animals lol. ;)
good luck with it what ever you choose tho.

Cheers mate, yeah thinking the same. Don't really want to go out then come back on a tow truck :/
Anychance you could PM me with what internals you are using please mate?
Just so I can work out what I want to use :)

Good advice, but do you ever really think your engine is indestructible, I think in the back of my mind any engine could blow up haha. Even fancy built engines go wrong too.
