hey newbie here im cole

i have a glanza v which is currently up forsale

im looking to buy an ek9

but would want to eventually do a turbo conversion to it with a b18 integra block

what turbos make what bhp ?

what about manifolds ? do companys make them or do you have to have one custom made

what rpm would i get boost on each turbo etc ...

all the usual questions

thanks

You need a HP goal to answer most of those questions, in our pm you said 400bhp so i will answer your questions based on that. Now 400bhp is 340whp which is just about what my car makes, here we go:

there are probably a hundred different manifolds to chose from. For your power goal a GT3076R would be the best option in my opinion and would leave you room to grow as it is capable of about 500whp, It usually starts spooling at 3400rpm and full boost for me is around 4500(10-12psi). If you want even quicker spool up and absolutely do not want more than 340whp you can run a GT28RS but it will be maxed out at 340whp and will spool a bit earlier but it wont deliver as hard as a punch as the 3076r.

i was looking at about 400 bhp at the wheels

im totally new to hondas can i ask is it ok as a daily drive at 400 or will it just spin like f##k how do they put the power down

and what bhp do you recomend for an every day car

way i see it tho is if your spending all that money on it you might aswell go for really big bhp

thanks

400bhp is about the limit for a fwd car on the street, boost by gear also helps A LOT. As far as being able to drive a car like that every day, personally i cannot but many people do it. If i could build my car all over again maybe i could build it in a way that it is more driveabe... i dunno, this is highly subjective, my other car is a luxury car so i am spoiled, driving it everyday is really going to depend on you.

what do you mean boosting by gear ?

do you mean like a set boost in each gear ?

what would i need for that

Yes, you would need it to limit the amount of boost in 1st and 2nd gear so you have traction :nice:

what i will be doing with me starlet at some point as 450BHP in a FWD hatch weighing 900KG might be hard o put to the ground!

Boost increments.... Cab do it with a good ECU...

ecu controls a wastegate controller which controls the pressure the turbo makes

Hondata has boost by gear functionality where you can tell it wat boost per gear per RPM and THEN you can have the same table of settings but made for HIGH boost. This i what I have on my car and it works great.

AEM ems also has a similar function, but its boost by speed which is ok.

there are many, as i stated earlier at least 100 different kinds...

?
That is also an option and can be cheaper, it can also end up more expensive depending on parts used, it comes down to preference.

do you have any links to websites what sell the kits ?

and sell the parts seperatly

thanks mate

unfortunately i don't have a whole lot of info on that as i am in the US so most of the places i know are in the US and won't ship outside, i would start by contacting some of the people in the sponsors market place(bazza, accessoryzone etc...), i know most of them are in UK, also i saw ek9turbo was selling some turbo parts in the for sale area.
