I'm looking too get some more horses out of my ek4, would have saved for k swap or somthing but my engines in pretty good nick so don't want too rip it out! Just now ... B16a2, tegiwa carbon whale *****, skunk 2 pro series inlet manifold, tegiwa 4 2 1 manifold , decat , buddy club spec 2 !

Any idea witch is best route too go down without forced induction, a mean a want more power but a don't want 300bhp or that lol

Any help would be handy :) cheers
 
If you want to keep the engine you've got then I'd say try and up compression ratio a bit and uprated injectors.

Other than that it's a bigger engine or overbore it :)
 
bigger cams, high compression pistion, injectors,bigger trottle body , re-mapp
 
without spending massive money you'd be looking at good cold air feed to that filter,ek9 cams,itr or ek9 intake manifold then best bang for buck mod put in a gearset or 4.9 final drive into the gearbox then map it should see you a preety good goin vti

what sort of money is involved in this ? as for cams i have a skunk2 inlet so would i be best too get skunk too cams or would type r ones be just as good ? or scrap the inlet and just get type r inlet and cams ?
 
all dpends an what brand and spec you go for really and what work you able to do yourself or pay someone for , like you can pay 300e to 1000e for pistons, same with aftermarket cams about 600 to well over 1000e,(200e for ek9/itr one) rest are not to bad plus you can use biger injectors or trottle body from itr etc , re-map depend on make ecu and tuners cost , type r cams will be as good as skunk2 tuners cams stage one , so id get type r ones if it a milde tune your after , and keep the skunk to intake but you dont have to use skunk2 to cams, you can use any , just try to stick with a good make .

what your hp goal, and use for the car.. street tuned car, track car, bit of both ?
