Tradecarview.com??? Legit or what?

I was looking at some EK9s to import from Japan to the US and wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with the site tradecarview.com. I am finally serious about buying a RHD and want to get one shipped rather than buy one from an independent seller in the U.S. "mainly because they are overpriced usually".

Please let me know if yall know anything about this site.

This site does not sell cars, exporters pays the site to list the cars they have for sale. I bought my dc2 using tradecarview.com to contact the seller.

In conclusion, tradecarview.com is a internet database of cars for sale in japan. The cars are owned by japanese exporters that pay tradecarview.com to list their cars they got for sale.

You should find out if the sellers are legit, by visiting the site or calling them or searching for reviews or opinions over the internet.

yea as RVM said this is only a site for sealers to advertise cars

the best way to get a car on there is find the reputable dealer's that have good feedback from people you know and then contact them looking for an ek9
 
people use them in ireland with no complaints ive heard.you just have to pay special attention to the auction sheet about what grade etc you are buying.3.5+ will get a good one.
 
I wouldn't trust the grade sheets you see on trade view as we have seen the same cars 2 weeks later somewhere else with different grades.
 
As Livvy said, I also spotted this, and legit dealers who I purchased cars from in Japan informed me that there are people advertising cars on Tradecarview.com that they do not own and were acting as a unwanted third party in the sale of car's from reptable dealers and trying to pass them off as higher grade car's, fake auction sheets etc. Just be carefull who you deal with on there.
 
thanks for all the advice. I have contacted a dealer already but I may just change my mind. But if the price is right how can I refuse? It looks as if I can get an JDM EK4 for cheaper than a USDM EM1(I hate the EM1 but love the B16 in it).
 
One more thing I want to ask. Does anybody know anybody selling a RHD EK4? Maybe I can get some contact info and have it shipped from wherever. I want RHD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
it is...its made up of a number of different traders...Id look for a rating from dealers before u agree to buy first tho..

a friend of mine bought a nice eg6 sir-s from a trader on that site....the engine was in bad condition

all i can say it is a risk you taking if you buying it from import and its is your first time with the dealer what would you do if the car is not as advertise etc, best bet is if you know anyone in japan who can check the car out for you before you buy, luckly i have a friend of mine who knows someone who lives in Japan he checked out this Bee r skyline i wanted to get, it was advertise as a GTR but he later checked it and found it was only a GT-s therfore i left it. there are companies out ther you pay a fee and they will check out the car for you and provide you with pictures etc if you want this company details let me know and i send it to you.

I'm also interested in getting a vehicle, what's the contact details for the company that does the "snooping", checking on the vehicle and getting photos etc, please? Thanks much!
 
you need to be a vendor to advertise on here, also bumping a 5 yr old thread!!
