Track RX7 FD3S

Yeah thats him with the hks single turbo. His name is chris allen.think he has only done a couple of track days, it has a huge carbon spoiler.its for sale im sure.he has posted videos of it on youtube. im from just outside edinburgh, i done a couple of track days last year in a dark green ek vti.
cheers

700bhp, really?? :O niceeee!
i "might" know him, is it the HKS t51R turbo he is running, if so, iv had a brief word with him on the rx forum, from edinburgh? his was white too, but i was under the impression it was only around the 500 mark. i wasnt aware he did any track days though...

however, there is another white rx which i know that goes to knockhill who is from edinburgh also, and is also white, he is still running stock twins still, so no way reaching the 7 hundred mark lol

where are you from?

thats my plastic windows for the sides and rear ordered this morning, and will be ordering my carbon undertray/splitter later on in the week, or start of next. they are in stock, in the uk, so no 8 week delivery times :)

Car goes into the bodyshop on monday, and so, will just take the parts down there and fit them whilst its all apart.

will keep this updated, and thanks for the comments. they make the skint knuckles and baggy tired eyes worthwhile :)

cant wait for F&M :D

Another long wait, finally at an end! My genuine RE-Amemiya Carbon GT300 rear wing came on monday morning.

I know it will cause some raised eyebrows  but im not bothered! its gonna need it! its farking huuuge compared to the old one, and that one caused enough comments

wider, and longer. yeehaa :D

Lovely Rex mate!! The ek9 is looking good also. Yea I know chris allen aswell, think his white rex is for sale. He has a blue rex and grey pulsar for sale also! I've been in his 500bhp/700bhp?? rex and it is scary, I will prob never get it anything faster again in my life!! :) What are you running bhp wise?? is yours still a twin turbo?

Got the car checked over, and ready to go to its new home - the bodyshop on monday afternoon. all loose parts tied up and the bits the bodyshop dont want removed.

A big thanks to Jeek ( A local guy, and EDC drifter ) aswell for helping me out with the trailer. I kinda like the whole chubby wheel look and no arches

This will probably be the last time its ever seen like this until F&M 20th July @ Ingleston. Im not posting any pictures of the finished result until after the show.

Went into the bodyshop yesterday afternoon to collect my old doors and bootlid, and was amazed at the progress after not even a full 24hours since i dropped it off monday night.

altho the garage owner has said he was gonna be taking pictures of it as the stages progress for himself and me, i couldnt resist but get the camera phone out :D

All the small imperfections on the car have been removed, and sorted out, even some of them i never even noticed! i know its a track car, but its still gonna be a top job, especially since there has to be a smooth base for a pretty extensive graphic job which is on the way. hopefully before F&M aswell.

bloody heck tho for less than 24 hours work!!

aerial hole welded up.....tunes??? what are they

There was a huge bit of laquer peel here before. its all gonna be smoooooth tho!

Front bumper repaired, and changed slightly, side vents removed, and the letter box type vent in the middle also.

Its getting primered 1st thing this morning!!

sorry i ignored you mate, i was too busy concentrating on updating everything at once there, on my local forum its been updated daily.

i know who you are on about now with the white rx, i looked back over a few old posts on the rx forums...realistically its believed hes running approx 500, however the turbo he has is more than capable of 700, but he has a few additions to make before he can run that safely...best of luck to him though, it looks a monster! everything is do-able :D

at the moment RE:Worx say im running approx 430bhp give or take a few, but im still on a very safe map. on its run in map ( new engine ) since last summer it made 340bhp at the wheels at 0.8 bar. :D

thanks for the comments

Nae worries mate! Lookin very good already mate, lookin forward to seeing it when its done! Aye the turbo he has is huge!!

Good luck. :)

Just to let anyone know, im going to be indoors at the F&M show, was originally going to be outside, but one of my sponsors has stuck their neck out and managed to get me a place inside :)

should be a good 1st time for it, especially since evrything will be fresh and all the lights from the roof. Come and say hello if you see me, If im near the car you cant miss me, iv recently just had my hair done pornstar blond :D :D

Its been ready to get primered and painted for the majority of this week now, the guy doesnt hang around!!

but Iv held him up a bit...

I made the decision to have the old front bumper repaired and changed!!

I really liked the front end, but I decided to have the letterbox type vent in the middle removed, and also the tiny side vents also as mentioned previously.

Plus...it looked terrible when I 1st took it in. A few large cracks, scratches and other crap...

Its been a few days working on it, but it was done last night!

The guy just wouldnt leave it until it was perfect, Really impressed with his work.

looks a ton better!!

Heres a couple more pics from this morning. Its had a couple coats of primer, and theres a couple little bits to sort before the other coats are done. The guy is hoping to start with the paint tomorrow, and says i should have the car back monday/tuesday after its all been polished and completed. The guy really is taking a lot of care over it and looking out for any imperfections, Im really impressed with his attention to detail, and hes very approachable and willing to explain anything! Its good to have confidence when it comes to work like this!

Heres a couple other pics from the bodyshop from the end of last week, fully primered and ready for paint and any niggles that were spotted sorted.

Over the weekend i was a bit lazy, which is bad, i know!

but got the doors sorted as far as i can go without having the car there infront of me...the fit of stuff is really pretty sweet! no major problems at all.

cracked on ahead on tuesday again...my good friend, and electrician to trade came down and helped me get the doors electrics on, and tidied up, with all new wires and holders so it all looks tidy since there wont be any doorcards...

i collected the bootlid from the garage and got quite ambitious...

just before dinner, around 5.00 / 5.30 pm said, no danger, il have this back window out no problem at all! give me 10 mins!

hahaha!!! CRAP!!! I will never underestimate the power of glass bonding again, especially that from 1992!! what a pain in the backside it was!! and my bootlid window is, to be fair, one of the easier looking windows to work with...dam its tough stuff, but success in the end....

at around 8.30pm....

Now just to clean it all up

Also received a text message from dougie ( the man who took my bumper in the 1st place, good friend and owner of another local garage here ) during the evening...

I never actually saw the car on tuesday, but the teasing bugger sent me this :D :D

Im loving it, So glad i chose white!

heres the bigger pics from today :D

walked through the garage door and .....oaaaaaaaft I was in love!!

in the middle of being all polished down, tomorrow the carbon panels and wings go on!!

Looking unreal man!

Who's your supplier for all the Seibon stuff?

cheers mate.

I got all my seibon stuff at once from tegiwa imports when they advertised a carbon group buy about 3, maybe 4 months ago.
