Just wondering has anyone on here used them? I am looking for a good all around weather tire although since the weather is mostly rain I would rather tires that are good in the wet, I was looking at parada spec 2's and they would be the highest of my budget although I am not going for them because from what I have read they aren't very good at all in the wet. Also would like the tires to be hard wearing. Any advice would be nice. Thanks :)

yea i have had the proxies before and still got em on the rear get t1r's they are great for the money matey :nice:

I bought a set after everybody recommended them, I think they a the worst tyres I have every put on my car ,Sidewalls are paper thin gives the car a floppy feel .proxy 4s and t1rs are muck in wet condition I fear for my life on some wet roads with tr1s ,They wear incredibly quick ,If peoples opinion's on t1rs are high well you dont know what you are missing ,

I found these a very good allround tyre hard wearing .excellent in the wet.

I have read to stay away from tr1s but not proxes 4.. Have you used proxes 4?

yes I have used proxy 4s .same story as tr1s ,they wear fast 2 that is just my experiences with them "budget"

I have them all round on mine. The problem I had was even with 2-3mm of tread left they were appalling in the wet, i put two new ones on front and their now fine in the rain. In the dry however, for a semi cheap tyre I find them very good.

I had tr1's all round on my dc5 and couldnt believe how bad they were especially in the wet!! I would never buy toyo's again!! I changed to the new eagle f1's and they were amazing in dry and wet!!

Proxi t1's are cheap tyre its the t1r which are a good all rounder I had em on mine for a while but I got spec 2 on front now they epic for price in dry but wet is a totaly diff story I just take lil extra care in wet cos they not that good but like I say for the price t1r's are good never had t1's they are a cheaper tyre again

I have read plenty about these would love them but they are out of my budget.. What would people recommend then? Budget would be as high as parada spec 2's but want tires that are mainly for wet because we rarely see dry days here

I would recommend Uniroyal Rainsport 2's, pretty good in the dry and just as good in the wet! I didn't like them at first cause they have a really soft sidewall but I had a play around with the pressures and with 38psi up front and 36psi at the rear they feel great.

I had these proxes on my old civic and they were ok as a budget tyre. Alot of sidewall flex and not much grip compared to a little more expensive tyres. But if your budget is very tight then these would do, although hankook do a very good budget tyre that i would rate well above the proxes.

surprised to hear about people's negative comments on the toyo t1r's. I have them all round on the ek9 and they seem fine, although I've not really driven the car much yet. Had them on an evo 7 before and thought they were extremely good for the money, both in the wet and dry

When I was researching tyres I ended up buying some Falken ZE912. They seemed to get the best reviews for the budget I had in mind

I'm going for falkens next. As said above. Heard good reviews about them.

I had them on my corolla T Sport, they were average at best but they did last a lot longer than other tyres (yokohamas for example). personally I wouldnt buy them again as there is much better tyres out there for the same sort of money.
