Hi,
Let me share my weekend with you. There was a big trackday event at the local gp track. 100 cars and much more fans. Since last time I swaped my calipers to mb6 ones and got a set of high carbon plain ebc discs and yellowstuff pads. Didn't have time to bed them correctly though. I did around 300km and did the bed in procedure, because the very next day was the trackday. But it did well, no overheating no warping, and massive brake force. I felt like my blood is leaving my brain sometimes. I was breaking from 160 km/h at around 70 meters from the first hairpin which has a cornering speed of about 60-70 km/h.
I also had a slightly used toyo r888 but those are 195/55 instead of 50, so maybe a little less power, but traction was superb. Only problem was the annoying heat (about 35 celsius), I was struggling with overheating, so I had to turn on the heating. But the car did well with no further problems under the 100 minutes of hard core tracking.
Here is my album with over 100 photos.
And here's a video of a few laps. My sd card was nearly full so I couldn't record more. Which is a shame, because my next lap was the best of the day. 2:28:855 but my best sectors combined is 2:26:29. I did better than a lot of e30s, vtis, and a lot more powerful cars.
