Torque GT Import Direct Service

Hi guys,

Does anyone have experience of using the guys at Torque GT to import an ek9 from auction into the country, or any other Japanese car for that matter? If so, how would you rate their service? Are they a trustworthy bunch who are transparent about all aspects? They seem like they're very good at what they do but would be nice to get some forum users' input.

Never imported a car into the country before and considering it as an option currently due to a lack of EK9s about which take my fancy therefore I'm quite apprehensive about the whole process/outcome and want to check all import avenues (Torque GT/Duncan/possibly the company up in Newcastle).

I bought mine from them, ijwhiteman bought his from them too.

I thought their service was really good, and they sorted everything out this end without any issues.
 
Got my Nine from Torque GT. Wasn't directly imported for me but they where very helpful and esay to get in touch with when I did contact them.
 
I've used Torque GT to import my DC2 into the country about a month ago now, Mike and Darren are top guys who know their stuff and will answer all your e-mails in rapid time, and I mean rapid! Between initially approaching them and winning the car in the auctions we exchanged nearly 70 e-mails!! lol not once was I waiting forever to hear back from them.

I would highly recommend them, and they do outline exact cost and break it down as to where it is all going. :)

My best mate imported his S15 with Torque last year so I kind of felt better knowing someone I could trust gave an honest review.

As for yourself being in Reading, Duncan would be a more reasonable options as he is based in Reading as well. Another mate of mine had his ek9 imported with Duncan, have a look at the registry on here, he has bought loads of 9's into the country, so he knows his stuff! :)

Yep, as above - Mike is super helpful & both cars I've had from them have been ace.

I have imported over 150 ek9's to the UK and am based in Reading (Theale) if you wanted to have a chat. I have 3 ek9's in stock at the moment :)
