Well 9 was better and the gti is a good car too and congrats on it but i still think its too refined
 
I agree it does feel refined to the golf but makes up for it in other aspects. For one the steering feel/weight is a differant league to the 9. Still miss the 9:(
 
I am actually thinking about parting out my 9' for one of these, never had a modern car.
Really like the ed30 ones :bow:

You going to get this remapped?
 
It's a nice car to move on to from an EK9. Not as much fun sometimes as the engine lacks character to the B16B but never the less it's a great engine and fun car to drive. Was thinking of getting it mapped but gonna hold off and get an Edition 30 towards the end of the year. Prob with a DSG box and similar spec to mine.

very nice mate big fan of the gtis dont know whether to get an r32 or new rs for my next car, being carless is not good haha
 
Cheers mate, R32s a cracking car and sounds great but doesn't have much potential for more power unless u got big bucks and boost it. Focus RS on the other hand will be a beast out the box and will have further potential. If u want German build quality & performance I'd go for a Edition 30 GTI. Has a larger K04 turbo and stronger engine internals. With a stage one map u would be looking at close to 280BHP, with some breathing mods and better fuel pump along with a stage 2+ map you'd be looking at mid 300s:drive:
