Too Many headunits

Hi Guys,

picked up me 97 EK9 today absolutely loving it so far. Will post up some pics when a get a chance to take some nice ones...

One thing is confusing me however. It has two headunit's (one in the normal place and one above the cup holders). They are linked.

I want to replace them with one headunit (so I get radio aswell), does anyone know if honda make a part to cover the hole?
 
Cool, any ideas what it's called so I know what to search for...
 
Ok now i'm getting really confused. The headunit can't really be pulled out.
Anyone know if Kenwood headunits are standard in Japan? Lol

What bits will I need to install a singe standard DIN unit? (ISO Harness, Facia plate)

Also does anyone know the part number or got a link to something that will cover up the hole at the bottom?

Man, who said you can't pull it out? I can take off the entire console. Remember that if theres a way to put it in theres a way to take it out.

You should have the keys to pull ou tth ehead unit. If you don't have this then I'm afraid you'll have to start from stripping the gearbox covers and work your way through. Or even from the glove box.

Eeeek, lol. It couldn't be pulled out because it was bolted in from behind.

Got the top unit in fine with an autoleads adapter, so that's all working now.
Don't think that faceplate will fit the bottom unit as the hole isn't din sized (the headunit is but the hole isn't). :(

Probably will need to get that bottom bit from Honda without the hole.

Think we've got our wires crossed somewhere along the line though. lol

That first one is perfect RVM :D

Any Ideas where I can get this... or is it a case of going to Honda for the part :S
 
i have that complete unit its from 99 spec but fits yours perfect 50 euro delivered
