im lookin to buy a 9 or a dc2... not looking to spend over 4000€ so kind of limits me to bargains and paople wanting to sell very fast, which puts me in the dangerous zone for people sellin dirt boxes.... found what looks like a decent ek9 but the price is suspect i feel.

honda civic type r...cheap... for sale in Kerry : €3,500 - DoneDeal.ie

from the pictures can anyone see anything i should watch out when i go to view it?

Best way to find out get someone on the forum to have a look or be able to vouch for this car, or go have a look yourself ;)

17 inch alloys :/
looks well other then that, no mention of test either so you'd want to be careful in my opinion

There not 17" looking at the pic's, must be 16's.

And just remember you get what you pay for, particularly in the South of Ireland where is a lot of raped stupid scrap about.

this car has been for sale for a while now, might be worth a look, ek9's tend to go for cheap just now in Ireland.

nice wheels all the same, dont think theyre 17s thou. id prefer the standard ones, and id be takin those silly eyebrow things off as well. i'm just worried about this one because it has been up for a while, i have had 6 civics in the last 4 years from 1.4's to SiR's so i know how theyre meant to feel, but just if im buying something like an ek9 i want it to be near perfect and know im getting a good car. are there many common faults with the 9's like things to watch out with suspension that go or anything really to watch out for if im lookin at this.... also anyone who is in kerry if they around to take a look at this and let me know that would be massively appreciated :D

I know theyre cheap in Ireland but it surely can't be good for £2.5k. I paid a little more than double that for my pre-facelift last year and it's not 'near to mint' as you're looking to get
