Hey guys i need a throttle body for my integra dc2r will getting a bigger throttle body make much of a difference?

And whats a good brand? In australia we can get the omni power, skunk2, and s90 but im not sure if any of these brands r any good. And they are 70mm.

Any suggestion?

Yeah but they are all roughly 70mm wich is what your after. The info is there anyways

Sorry to hijack thread but to use a DC2 TB, do you need the DC2 intake manifold aswell? Or do you port the standard B16b intake mani to the DC2 throttle body?

I had an Omni Power throttle body, didnt get to use it much but they're probably best value for money based on what I read before buying one

the port size is the same on the two mate, they are identical.
The manifolds i mean, a dc2 tb will fit right on :nice:

Thanks man for that :) But does the EK9 inlet manifold not need to be ported to the size of the DC2 TB to make the most of it? I read a few places that it does?

I dont see why as the size of the plenum where the throttle body mounts is the same on both manifolds. Its just the bore on the outside of the butterfly on the throttle body thats bigger between the two.

:blinx:

its best to measure the outlet as the factory tb has a taper bore, if you do youll find that the:

ctr is 60mm
the itr is 62mm
1st gen spoon is 62mm

Ok so I'll need the ITR intake manifold aswell as the TB? Or do I need to port the CTR intake mani to match the ITR TB?

I recently got myself a spoon throttle body, and did a tune and for some reason, driving normally to work and etc under 3000rpm it takes soooo bloody long to feel any boost.

Hard to explain but theres like no response or feel like a lagg. Say im on 5th gear or 4th gear cruising at 2000rpm then if i wanna step on it a bit harder to overtake or whatever reason it would go. All i hear is the intake really loud and car barely pulls and revs go up slower than usual. Is this because the tb is too big? Its the only size spoon offers on their website.

I want to know about how u guys experiences your tbs

No, the itr throttle body will bolt straight on to your ctr manifold without any need for tapering etc as both inlet manifolds are the EXACTLY the same mate :nice:

CTR is 60mm at butterfly
ITR is 62mm at butterlfy

putting a 62mm tb on CTR IM won't do anything unless you port match the IM with the TB.

But realistically, you don't need to use a bigger tb than 60mm on a B16B. You don't need the air mass on B16, but rather air velocity.

I'd recommend saving your money.
