I was on the internets today, when I saw this:

Its the worlds first billet aluminum Valve Cover for Honda B series engines from Plan B Motorsports!

While, I will admit, it's not for me. It is a decent bit of kit!

For more info, please go to there Facebook page at:

Or their website at:

PS
Website appears to be down at the moment, probably due to all the hits they have been getting over this.

Hmmm, billet is just another ''hype'' thing... Not everything that is billet is actually better than molded, especially when it comes to something like rocker cover where the material used does hardly need to be super strong and so they are probably milling it out of a block of alloy that has the same properties as the molded OEM one. If they're using anything better (stronger) that is not moldable then it is just a waste of money. And it looks hideous too :D

Your right on all points (and yes, it does look HIDEOUS). But I will admit that I don't get "hype" things like this (hellaflush, roof racks, etc...) I felt that it was important for me to share this with the group. And, ultimately, let the end user decide. While, its not for me, it maybe for somebody else.

it is not new at all.... tony palo from T1 has been having that valve cover for years

I quite like it on its own. (ex machinist) would have liked to have a go at that.

Its certainly different.

Made one of these 2 years ago, but never fitted it. Being a CNC Machine shop Manager, and crazy B series geezer, i thought i would have a go. I mainly wanted to try out my new 3D modelling software, and it lead on from there. Very expensive to make for what it is, IIRC the billet was £200+ and as you can imagine so much waste. No one would want to pay for one, not my price anyway.

Now i am playing at Fabricating one.

if it had a finer finish to it and had the honda name and logo it would be uber cool! hater gonna hate! lol

I can appreciate the engineering and CAD modelling involved, but I agree, not the best finish in the world.

Im sure i would rather spend my time designing a more useful billet component then a cam cover.
