firstly i want to say thankyou to NEO for all his help

well it was going so well i have the money i found the perfect car in perfect condition and when it came to insurance it was all over,

£2500 was the cheapest i could get it.. and i cant afford that

Word of advice Elephant.co.uk dont insure the Ek9 i have been researching in to it and it isnt correct on there files, if you look else where they say £2500 full comp elephant sayt £1200? cant be correct,

i need help now, i can afford insurance on a uk car so i am going to get my NCB up and get my EK9 Next year, NEO i will be in touch again as you have sorted me out before and will need your help again,

so advice please

UKDM EP3 or UKDM Integra DC2 i can afford to insure thses fullycomp so a year with one of these than EK9 here i come,

any advice for me,

sorry to defect from the ek9 but its only for 12 months,

I'd personally go for the EP3.

But if you did decide to go for the DC2, why the UK spec?..
 
DC2 > EP3 all day!
Personally if I could get hold of a good ITR I wouldn't be longing for an ek9, its either-or with those 2 cars.
 
i would be going for a uk spec as it is cheaper to insure i am 23 but got two knocks on my file which isnt good as the 2nd isnt my fault

oh well.,

so is the dc2 faster than the ep3?

i just want the vtec that is all that will tide me over till iget my ek9
 
I'm bias as my last car was an UK spec ITR. With the prices dropping for the UK ITR's your bound to pick you self up a nice one.

Have you had any quotes for either a UK ITR or UK EP3 as yet? I know that the UK ITR was group 18 the last time I checked and the EP3 being group 17.

why not consider EP3 typeR?
or
cheaper EK4 with B16A2 engine??? where u can use the mods u purchase during this yr for the comming EK9 :D
 
Im pretty sure the UK spec, performance wise, isn't as good as the JAP spec. Reason why the insurance is lower.

Bros got the JAP spec DC2 Type R , Lovely car =] - Heading up to JAE this weekend in it.

Take this for granted. JDM racing cars always have something more than the equivalent UKDM ones. Last example, the UK EP3 which lacks some important features like LSD etc... It also produces 15 bhp less than the JDM EP3 (197 bhp, 212 bhp)

EP3's faster in a staight line and better low down torque compared to the UKDM ITR but the ITR handles 100x better then a EP3 and has an LSD over it.

UKDM EP3's redlines at 7900rpm and hits the limiter at around 8300-8400rpm but the UKDM ITR redlines at 8400rpm and limits at 9000rpm.

again insurance wise EP3 is slightly cheaper with the 1 group difference but its all down to wat you want my friend and the money you have to spend.

wat about ek4 sir jap import b16a 170bhp with LSD (IG=16) or uk vti 160bhp without LSD (IG=15)
 
as said above the jdm teg is faster than the uk tegs.
uk: 187bhp
jdm: 200bhp

oh, and thanks for the clarification about the elephant insurance :)

i have put a deposit on a 2000 ITR DC2 so hopfully pick it up soon. it is in great conditon and hopefully will hold its value for a couple of years so wheni sell it i will be able to get the EK9 that is what i have wanted and that is what i am going to get trust me.

my ek9 is ready to pick up now......time to play :D

and hello all again well i have picked her up and she is a beauty i will post some pics the weekend

i must say though F*(K me :bow:VTEC :bow:is like being punched in the face, i have never experienced anything like it

my integra has a cat back mongoose system (NEO u was rite MONGOOSE is mental) it has an AEM long arm induction kit and tein springs it is amazing,
